Puts things into perspective, it's only a game. Someone won't be going home to his family. Terrible terrible news, my best wishes go to his family and friends.

RIP son.
This is from the BRFC board:
"'tragic. apparently, well not apparently as several fans have video evidence, the idiots amongst our supporters thought it would be a good idea to throw full bottles around, which was then followed by trashing the whole concourse. from here, they ripped bins from the wall, threw them up in the air and some guy has taken a full bin to the face, fallen, cracked his head and hit the floor. he apparently died in the concourse, but some fan managed to revive him with cpr, and then the whole concourse was sealed off whilst he was taken to hospital. if any fans needed the toilet, they had to get an escort from our section to the nearest stoke section. we then had to leave by walking pitchside, premusably so they can preserve what could become a crime scene.
today was horrible in terms of our supporters. two guys behind me repeatedly called any black player 'jungle boy', 'elephant washer' or 'soap dodger', swore at 60+ old men who asked them to sit down, and then began to snap their seats. massive *****."

Such a sad loss .... lives have been wrecked by stupid pointless violence .... hopefully football will not get the blame for this wicked hooliganism .... reports suggest that the poor man was not involved in any of the violence .... our thoughts are with the man and his friends and family

How many times in recent years have we seen idiot antics from Stoke fans on the concorses when they start throwing things around? Its always a good laugh until it goes too far and something like this happens. RIP.

What a tragic, tragic accident if that report is to be believed. It puts the whole thing into perspective really and this poor guy and his family have had their life completely changed in the matter of 45-50 minutes at a football game. RIP fellow football fan, many condolences to your family.

No disrespect..but how many times have away fans attemted to smash up the concourse under The South Stand...then post it on 'YouTube' ? A great laugh eh...until something like this happens and someone gets killed.. And lets not forget that our fans do the same sometimes...I've seen bins being chucked around in The Boothen that could have had similar consequences That said...my deepest condolensces to this man and his family.. Sir Stan must be looking down and wondering what went wrong...

How many times in recent years have we seen idiot antics from Stoke fans on the concorses when they start throwing things around? Its always a good laugh until it goes too far and something like this happens. RIP. Not many times to be fair mate - went every away match last season & most this, and I can only recall a plastic bin being emptied / chucked around at Arsenal after they closed the bar......other than that, some ale sloshed about although again, this is rare (and at £3+ a pint not surprising) Why does our away concourse always seems to attract the wrecking crews?? Anyhow a terrible tragedy for which someone will be doing porridge......although it's a life sentence for the poor chap's family & friends....... Many condolances and much sympathy.....
