Used to go into the Vic pub for a few, then into the social club for a few more before the games. Anyone else remember the club. Did you used to go there before a game at the Vic?
Happy days ;D

I have a feeling the Social Club building is still standing - it didn't get demolished when the ground did ?

My dad always took me in from an early age, was a great place for pre match build up. I even won £500 on a lottery ticket when a teenager, they made me stand on the table and the whole place cheered, even the crystal palace fans in there. I only remember there being 'bother' there once, guess who...........bardiff.
'The Club' was top

Used to go in the supporters club until it was closed (at the end of 84/85 season i think). Sometimes went into the one opposite the ground after the match.

Used to love it in there after games, Anton standing on the pool table leading Delilah & We are the Boothen Boys which seemed to go on for ages, playing chase the ace with Chessie and his mates, and on one occasion walking back towards the town centre afterwards Georgie Berry picked us up in his car and dropped us in Hanley, happy happy days

I use to start at the PMT club before finishing at the supporters club. Used to be funny watching the mass exodus at 2 minutes to.
I think that was the main reason my space was the boothen paddock, not so far to walk. :-)

I used to love that place though could only look in through windows due to my extreme youthfulness.
When I grew up used to use PMT club for its exceptional cheapness and amazing fog of fag smoke.

I remeber we came out of there that late we couldn't get into the home end and were told to go to the Stoke End with the away supporters. We did and got in. Luckily it was only Norwich and after some good natured banter with Foxy we turned round and were surrounded by police who kindly escourted us to the Paddock. We were a little bit drunk........how times change eh! :-( Anyone ever go the Sea Lion after the match?

Used to use that Social Club opposite the Boothen stand. John Ritchie's dad and Mick Pejic's dad used to use it. Think it was privately owned, someone from Market Drayton and Mr. Davies from Stone.

Used to go in after the match and watch the scores coming in on that tele, pre Sky days ha ha. And another one that I,d forgot about until I read this thread was the PMT club, we used to have some laughs in there waiting for the away teams special mob to come past.
