He realised he was making a complete prick of himself on tv and faked a limp! The bottling waster! People say he should play centre mid, he can't pick a pass with 20 seconds on the ball at left back so how will e cope with 5 seconds maximum

Last year Ryan and Huth got him out of a lot of trouble, but with Woodgate and Upson, he is on his own and his repeated mistakes are costing us dearly.

Hes not a left back.....the same as Huth is not a right back and Wilko is not a left back......can you see the recurring theme?

He got a knock stretching to clear a ball in our penalty area. I think he put it out for a corner. We should have taken him off then, we didn't, he had a hand in the second goal immediately after.

He is a liability at full back. At centre back his team were badly relegated. His opportunities in midfield were an utter joke with the guy unable to pass, tackle or track back. I know his best position - at a lower league club!

so why has TP played him in midfield and our defence if you think he's sh** there/
Or does Wilson hold a gun to the manager's head?
A TP favourite and money p****d down the drain. I'd have preferred Lawrence to stay for another 6 months.

Yes he struggles in nearly every game BUT remember, he is yet another of TP's amazing out of position player decisions.

I'd have preferred Lawrence to stay for another 6 months. Don't forget we ended up in a bidding war to get him, so TP wasn't the only one to rate him. For me, Wilson can go into the place reserved for Danny Collins ie next one out of the door. The truth can't be hidden - his signing was a mistake, he has been given ample time to prove himself. The worse mistake would be continuing to play him. Thankfully Higgy is just about ready to return. Worried about Ryan, his leg kept on giving way. This could be 2 or 3 months on the sidelines.

so we are agreeing that TP got it hopelessly wrong re Wilson march, and that he's compounding tghis by playing him every week?

It has not been until to tonight that others have agreed with me about Wilson and Woodgate. Our best back 4 are; Wilko, Huth, Ryan, Higgy.

For all that say why the hell is pulis playing him at left back , just who else would you play there? Higgys injured we have got rid of Dickinson and Collins , and the Irish wizard that was Clive Clark has heart problems so he hasn't much choice!
As soon as higgys back , he will go straight in .

We should at least give him a chance to play on the right side of the pitch. You can only play for so long having to check to swap the ball to your natural foot before you lose your form.
Playing on the wrong side of the pitch might also be contributing to his nagging injury problems. Maybe give him a spell at right back?

He has had enough chances - time to go. Barnsley on loan???

I don't know if he'll be any use at right back or in his natural midfield position, but like you've said, we weren't the only team after him, so presumably he's got something. I'm tempted to think he's a midfield player who'd just be better suited to a team that uses midfield players.

What is more, he never will be a midfielder. He played a couple of games there at SCFC in an emergency. He has not played there ever for anyone else. Cotterill was clearly joking when he talked about his passing ability. No one else has ever mentioned it. And why is he not being played in midfield, because he can't pass, tackle, challenge in the air or track back. The best thing Wilson can hope for is a loan to a lower league club where he can play cantre back (his real position).

Then I realise you're just on a wind-up... ;D Anyway, on this: And why is he not being played in midfield, because he can't pass, tackle, challenge in the air or track back. For all Wilson's flaws in CM on the odd occasion he's played there, he passed the ball better than anyone I've seen in that position for Stoke since Johnny Eustace. Of the other three things on your list, aren't they things generally associated with defenders...?

I don't mind Wilson but he has put in two shockers now and it ain't good enough not sure that Ethers ahead of him is helping his game. That whole side looks very very weak defensively with little offensive threat toboot.
