He certainly seemed to land on formula's that worked having persisted with his shitter signings for far too long. See Ameobi, Griffin at right back, Steven Pearson, Dean Whitehead instead of Whelan and the absolutely woeful Charlie Adam/Peter Crouch combo.
Had we completed the key centre forward signing he wanted, our history may well have been a lot different. We wanted Dexter Blackstock and got Ricardo Fuller

Carson was absolutely useless and his decision to choose wba almost certainly saved us from an inevitable relegation First choices that season were him and Anthony Gardner. We got Sorro and Faye instead. "better to be lucky than good" was certainly something that could be levelled at Pulis on many an occasion.

Didn't we take 6,000 odd there on our first day back in this division in 2002? Can't see them giving us every possible ticket given the stakes of the game. They'll probably want to limit our support a bit so I reckon this will be it now. It may even have been more than that but it was absolute chaos around Sheffield with Stoke fans running amok and causing mayhem

Goran Popov all set to sign on loan then "apparently" work permit refused. Deadline day signs for WBA with a work permit. Allegedly TP saw him play and then changed his mind. He actually saw him train 😂

Some of the absolute throbbers on here need to grow up, SS and the players getting dogs abuse at HT during a relegation battle ffs. I honestly believe some of you would love us to go down, SS has inherited another shite group of players, Ricky Martin has left. Give the bloke some time to build a squad fir Christ's sake. Our only aim now is to stay in this league, sick and tired of absolute throbbers thinking they are the next pep. Grow up. What dogs abuse did they get and from what part of the ground? I heard nothing from the Sentinel stand at all. No boos. Very few claps. They did get a very nice welcome back onto to the pitch from the Sentinel Stand, particularly Leris and Hoever who were on the touchline by the stand.

There isn't a single decent side in the league. They are all crap including us and including Ipswich, Leeds and Leicester. All of them can look good on any given day but largely they are rubbish teams playing in a lousy league full of crap, ourselves included. It's why setting up to stifle the opposition against any team at home will always result in frustrations being expressed. Setting up to match the physical aspect of a Huddersfield team without a win in god knows how long was pretty stupid and the first half performance was an obvious outcome. The only surprise was that we actually started the first 5-10 minutes pretty well. The league is crap. Put some footballers on the pitch (no Leris, Thompson and Ennis) and we might even look half decent ourselves on occasion. Firstly what’s that got to do with the refs🤷♂️and secondly you’re totally wrong about the championship It has nothing to do with refs and everything to do with the “taking a draw” comments. The only decent sides I’ve seen since we came down are Bielsa’s Leeds side and Fulham. The rest have been crap in reality

What’s this stuff about him apparently reporting 90 minutes late for duty yesterday? Anything in it or made up shite? Seen on twitter. Given the stance Schumacher took last time you would have thought if it was true he wouldn’t have been involved at all. Especially if it was 90 minutes late, if it was just 10/20 minutes I suppose being dropped to the bench could be seen as punishment. I wasn’t expecting him to start both the games anyway with him not long being back from injury Well he turned up at around 1.35, 30 minutes after the rest of the players had arrived and admitted to supporters he was "running late". At best he was 35 minutes late but given that the players generally meet at CW for a pre-match meal and meeting, if he didn't make that then he was 90 minutes late. It's not great whichever way you look at it, assuming it's true. There is some reports that our Muslim players have been given some kind of leeway around meeting times, particularly if food is involved, due to Ramadan.

When baker and Laurent play together, it always amazes me that baker plays deeper with Laurent generally being the more advanced. Given the attributes of both you’d think it would be the other way around. It was a game of two halves for Laurent today, first half he was the worst player on the pitch as a No. 10 and second half as a deep lying midfield player he was the best player on the pitch. I really have no idea what Baker's best position is. Well he’s the only person in the team capable of shooting so I’d suggest a position where he may find himself relatively close to the opposition goal as often as possible may be a start?

I am not doubting what you say in the slightest but that begs the question was he 90 minutes late or did he somehow get lost on the way from CW to the stadium? Will we ever find out mate🤷♂️ I quite like him as a player (maybe coz the others are so shit) but it feels like we need to get safe then get shut

So we assuming he missed the pre match meal at CW and simply reported to the ground 30 minutes after the rest of the squad? I’m not assuming anything mate,I’m just telling you he arrived 35 minutes after the other players I am not doubting what you say in the slightest but that begs the question was he 90 minutes late or did he somehow get lost on the way from CW to the stadium?

They meet at CW before home games for pre match food don’t they before making way up to ground. Is 1.35pm late? Team sheet goes in at 2pm. Yes apparently they do but the rest of the players were there by 1pm which is the norm of late for home games.Maybe that didn’t happen today🤔who knows but Maaee was definitely late and it was also different for Schumacher to arrive with his family.May d with it being Easter Monday it was different today🤷♂️ Also injured players also start arrive around 1-45/2pm which included Gooch and Junior today. Didn’t see Wesley,Pearson or Johnson today So we assuming he missed the pre match meal at CW and simply reported to the ground 30 minutes after the rest of the squad?

Our home form is a huge problem, nobody is denying that but Schumacher seems to be carrying the can for the two previous charlatans He was asked today about going behind at home and how that was the first time we’d got something from a home game after going behind bench he wasn’t aware of People are trying to make an issue out of a nothing interview mate in order to back up their stance That’s pathetic and embarrassing He’s inexperienced at handling a big fan base and being in the spotlight when things aren’t going well Maybe some constructive feedback from within the club, when mentioning the fans could help him out to avoid any unintentional misunderstanding A frustrating start to a stressful fixture where he was probably wanting Mmaee to start ? Late for the game? Not an ideal situation for team morale Be good to see him smile now and then Mmaee was late for the game?

A little dig in both the Radio Stoke and official club interview. Pretty needless, especially when our fans are no different to any others, and that's the first time we've equalised at home for 16 months "It's not an easy place when the crowd turn against you and sometimes we can go under" "It's not easy here, especially here at home. If you concede a gaol, the crowd get really frustrated and it's not easy. I'm walking off getting screamed at. So it's not easy for me or the players. So to respond the way we did was pleasing" He’s so far out of his depth it’s untrue. If he thinks it’s hard to play in todays atmosphere, keeping picking shite like Leris and Ennis and he’ll really see how hard it can be.

Ennis has his purpose - probably be a bit more effective if he had someone like Mmaee around him - but to start the lad today was awful management imho. I think the only purpose Ennis is fit for is the last 10 minutes, if you need to defend a lead and are under holding on pressure, he’s decent at pressing. Other than that I’ve not seen a single positive in his actual footballing ability. He looks out of his depth of being brutally honest. Ennis is absolutely wank, as is Leris and Thompson. So is Laurent as an advanced midfield player. The first half was zero surprise. Wank players turned in wank performance. We put a couple of footballers on the pitch and looked better. It’s not rocket science.

Interesting point. Is there a bet365 vs The Club Flash point that's inadvertently been created... The article does touch on it. I found the comment about Smith needing protection when he's out to be a bit odd. Protection from what.....kidnappers? the threat of kidnap and ransom demand against Denise and her husband Richard and the children is enormous given the wealth they possess, the security arrangements just to get the kids to school is beyond belief, they simply are not allowed out of site of security, Richard used to be a regular denzien of the Sandbach pub scene along with my late godfather Robbo who was also the head of payroll down the club, there was often a chap sat in the corner with him back then, you wouldn't have necessarily noticed but its not a new thing, its for the safety of himself and his family. To my knowledge him and John get on very well or they seem too, so lets not start a new rumour that they dont like each other based on some over analysis on what is a pretty dull article that is just a retelling of the last few years full of anonymous sources. Denise’s children actually go to school under a cloud of anonymity with no one knowing who their actual parents are and surnames that don’t link them to the Coates family. The little bits I hear of Denise’s life is actually quite sad. I wonder why it’s her and her family that are security risks. Maybe Jon and Peter would be left to fend for themselves if they were kidnapped hence they need no security. 😂

Whats he done..? Have I missed something...? I always thought he was a good egg myself..... You missed Bayern being Bayern. The fact the very vast majority of football fans in general like Crouchy but yet Bayern thinks he is a "tool" says it all. It's just another instance of Bayern talking out of his arse. Grealish shouldn’t be guaranteed a place in the squad nevermind the team. He wasn’t in the team when he should have been so he’s got no chance now. Being a Man City player should be enough to save him though.

Grealish rarely starts. Mr positive doesn’t trust him 🤷♂️ Grealish has been the regular first choice since the last Euros He's played Saka or Foden on the right with Grealish starting most games on the left If you don't watch England fine but don't make arguments based on inaccuracies Unless you were referring to Grealish club manager(?) in which case you are correct, he rarely starts Pickford Walker, Macguire, stones, trippier/any fit left back Rice, Henderson, Bellingham Saka, Kane, Foden Has been his preferred starting 11 for an eternity. If Grealish starts for Southgate, Foden misses out is the norm.
