Think the next 12mnths will define the club for years to come. Next season in the Championship the crowds will probably be around the 20,000 mark, but if the team performs badly without a realistic chance of promotion then this will fall to 15,000 pretty sharpish. This will then be the perfect excuse to roll out the usual self sufficiency & spending within your means propaganda that has been the backdrop of the Coates era. The mistakes over the last 18mths have been staggering & mostly self-inflicted. The Championship is littered with bigger clubs than Stoke who have struggled & without investment, good judgement & some luck then it may be a good few years before we grace the premiership again.

Considering all the speculation on who his responsible for transfers, does anyone really know. I find it hard to believe the Manager would not have some decision on who he wants, and if he has little input then sacking Mark Hughes will not solve the problem.

5 from me, overall don't think the teams much stronger than last season. May not concede as many goals but the 4 nil drubbings maybe replaced by close 1 - 0 defeats. Scoring goals still going to be a problem.

If we are playing with a lone striker, then Stoke need to buy someone suitable for the role. Berahino would be plan b in a 2 up front.
