All power to you both for the very selfless effort you are putting in to bring this terrible disease to people's attention and raising money to fund the fight to find a treatment. Rip Lucas Williams.

If anyone is interested the father of the young lad Lucas has posted a very touching and brave message on SL&P entitled "Lucas Williams" Please keep the donations coming, it's still rising and to think that there were doubts it would reach its target. The kindness of strangers is amazing!

As devastating as it is for all the family's this is only the first game and we are already applauding in the 6th 12th and 59th minutes. I actually think we should make a point of making tributes such as these. We share the common bond and in a way are one big family (hence the endless petty bickering on here). I have family in Wootton Bassett and they would turn out whatever the weather to pay their respects to our returning fallen - irrespective of how recent the last one was. Respectfully, for me these tributes are more poignant than for ex players / managers in a way. RIP young Lucas. Thanks for that. I'm sitting here feeling very grateful I have both of my Sons.

Horrible to hear and brought a tear to my eye. I find Twitter to be very quick in spreading the word for applauding so would encourage you all to keep posting and sharing if you get a moment. Thanks. Would be grateful if you could post something on twitter if you could? Thanks

Can I thank all those who have left donations and all who have left messages of sympathy for Lucas and his family. The target £500 has been reached! It has 20 days left to run before close let's see how far we can lift it! Sixth minute, shout his name and join his family and friends in remembering Lucas! Thanks again!

That would be an excellent idea, perhaps chant his name at the sixth minute? I just wouldn't want to detract from the 12 minute ovation for that poor fella who's had the stroke and remains in a coma. Great idea mate. i would defiantly chant the little fellas name. If folk put this about on social media aswell get the word around them this can happen. Let's do our bit and try just raise the parents spirits even if it's just for a short period at this horrific time Let's see if anyone else thinks it's a good idea? I know we're being asked to help bring the guy out of the coma by clapping at 12 mins so if enough feel it's a good idea we could push for a chant of "Lucas Williams" at 6 minutes? A stadium full of people shouting your Son's name would let you know you're in everyone's thoughts!

As a dad myself I can't even begin to think what the parents are going through. RIP little fella. And condolences to the parents. Let's lift the roof on Sunday in the 6th minute an give the little fella a stoke send off with our thoughts and prayers. That would be an excellent idea, perhaps chant his name at the sixth minute? I just wouldn't want to detract from the 12 minute ovation for that poor fella who's had the stroke and remains in a coma.

Thank you for moving the post. Also thanks to those who posted, just brings a lot of things into focus. Many thanks, hopefully we'll smash the £500. His dad is a stoke season ticket holder and was hoping to get his son down too before all this happened. Very grateful for any reposting to anywhere that increases exposure. Thanks. Just to add, those doing the climb are paying for their own transport there and also I know it's only Snowden but it's a big effort for those taking part.

I'll donate a few quid when I get back to the UK . I can ask my lad to share the just giving link on his Facebook page as well if you like. Always happy to support a worthy cause Cheers. I won't go into the nitty gritty but his birthday was held early for a reason. His Dad and Grandad are season ticket holders. His family are going through the mill. Thanks again.

New member looking for help. A young supporter aged 6 by the name of Lucas Williams is unfortunately severely ill with an inoperable brain tumour. Friends are trying to raise just £500 by climbing Snowdon to help Lucas and the hospital (Royal Stoke) treating him. Lucas had his seventh birthday party this weekend with help from the Make A Wish Foundation. If anyone would like to make a small donation to help this fund we would be extremely grateful. crowdfunding.justgiving.com/emma-spong
