made me laugh, he put it about 50 yards between 2 defenders, lit the afterburners and ran like his bollocks were on fire to get to the ball to win a corner. A great pick for the armband.
Well done stoke.

If he can run that fast, why can't he cope with Premier League wingers?

If he can run that fast, why can't he cope with Premier League wingers? Shall we bring in Linford Christie at right back next year then???

I thought he had a great game too, I wasn't wild about him coming back at first (sorry MrsG) but he's definitely earning his stripes back for me.
Don't think anyone would have looked good in that Derby side, and I don't think TP would have brought him back if he didn't believe he could hack in the Prem.

Yeah, thought he had a decent game. He adds a welcome bit of composure to the back four and showed a useful turn of pace with that run.

weren't the only run he did, he made a few bursting down from the right back position, so much for Tony's sit-in wing back's eh?

Griffin has made a huge difference to our overall team play. Leaves Stephen Wright a distant memory (thankfully!)
Welcome home Griff.
