Great goal by man of the match Lawrence. Fairly easy game, of few chances to both sides. Magilton bit of a dick getting himself sent off over another ball boy incident. Managers should grow up. Thought Shawcross was poor today. Getting a bit complacent I think. But at least it was three points.

Who gives a fuck, if we win ugly its 3 points. We aint going to play like Brazil every week. Its a team game and not all the players are going to be on top of their game every week, thats we why we have 11 players on the pitch to help each other out in their time of need. It was a GREAT WIN and i'm chuffed to bits. Cmon you rip roaring potters.

Just about summed up what I thought fca
Fuller poor and didn't look interested, although he is owed a game like that. Shawcross dodgy at times and Cresswell didnt play well either
Top class performances from Delap and Lawrence who's names are banded about the last half a dozen games as the main performers and Whelan had a good game as well. The center pair of Whelan and Delap looked much much better than Diao and Whelan.
Simmo - 6 Griffin - 6 Cort - 5 Shawcross - 5 Dickinson - 5 LAWRENCE - 7 Delap - 7 Whelan - 6 Cresswell - 5 Sidibie - 6 Fuller - 4

doesn't matter how they go in the net or how we play. winning home games is key, the good performances are an added bonus. points means prizes ;D

I agree Whelan had a good game too,but a bit harsh on Fuller as he was completely on his own for most of the game, but his judgement of when to pass or shoot was not that great.

Not a great game, but better than the other three league games I've seen at the Brit this season.
I fucking love Stoke! ;D

It was nice to be fairly comfortable in a game for a change after the last two, Ipswich didn't offer much threat. Thought Fuller did ok considering he had about three men marking him at all times!

We looked like a proper team today, worked well for each other in midfield and deserved the win against a decent Ipswich side. Whelan and Delap are becoming a very strong partnership. I don't envy Diao trying to win his place back. The weakest link was Shawcross who seemed a bit off the pace. I thought Griff and Dicko were both excellent and contributed to the clean sheet. Lawrence ran them ragged all afternoon. I'd expect to see a change of keeper at Preston.
Simmo - 5 Griffin - 7 Cort - 6 Shawcross - 5 Dickinson - 6 LAWRENCE - 8 Delap - 7 Whelan - 7 Cresswell - 6 Sidibie - 7 Fuller - 5

Thought we played well really, not the best of games but we had quite a lot of pacey runs up the wing with Griffin, Lawrence, Fuller. We had an over head kick by Mama which he actually made contact with. I thought it was pretty exciting. Maybe fca47 just getting a bit too use to these 5 goal thrillers that a solid 1-0 victory against a good side is a poor game.
I dont care really UP THE POTTERS!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent performance in very poor conditions. Whelan and Delap were in complete control in the centre of midfield.
Well done Stoke keep it up

See what you're saying fca47 but I honestly thought "poor game" was slightly harsh. We set our stall out today not to get involved in another Harlem Globetrotters style score-fest and the conditions were not good. Despite that though I enjoyed the match a lot and feel we passed up many half-chances in the second half to wrap up the points. Ipswich made life hard for us and yet I was always confident we'd win. Do agree about Shawcross though - looked vulnerable. Mind you, he has his worst game in a Stoke shirt and we keep a clean sheet!

I'm very happy with a win whatever the performance. But you can't say it was a great game of football. If that is what it takes to stay top then so be it.

Disagree. Thought it was a decent game and enjoyed it.
Ipswich are one of the better sides and we beat them reasonably comfortably. A good day's work all round, from the players and the crowd.

I thought it was a decent game. It just wasn't as nerve wracking as our last few, as Ispwich were never a REAL threat. They didn't really play as well as Scunny played in the first half of their game, or Soton in their game.

we cant have 5 goals in every game, this is the only result we could have expected really, against a decent side in all honesty a brilliant result and i dont think the game was that bad

Don't think the game was that bad from a Stokie's point of view. We played some decent football and we were good on the ball today. Whelan played very well, especially first half. Don't knock Fuller either. He had no luck, and his magic touch deserted him temporarily, but he ran unselfishly for the team and put a decent performance. Maybe those who say he wasn't interested need to sit a little nearer to the half way line?!

we were playing a very good side and were in control throughout, did ipswich ever look like scoring afdter we went ahead? granted fuller was poor, but we're nolonger in a position to need fuller to play well week in week out. Whelan was superb, ran the midfield and should have been man of the match. Lawrendinho was brilliant as always, delap, griff and Dicko likewise. Everyone else did well too. On the whole good team performance

In fairness the wind made it difficult and I think young Ryan struggled a bit with it. Ipswich are not a bad side, that's why they're in the play-offs, so it was a tremendous result.

This was a very professional performance. We were a little down on pace but never looked in trouble against one of the best teams in the division who were themselves having a decent game. Ric ---- his first touch was off today but "for him" he worked hard and seemed to be trying to get back to an onside position far more than he has in the past. Midfield was good - Liam - good - Cress - I wonder if he has an injury for at times he looks lazy - Shaw. was off the pace a bit but still looked okay and I thought Dicko had a really good game - Ipswich have good tricky wide guys who got nothing from him. Finally Mama - the guy is full of confidence after his recent goal scoring burst - that overhead kick was Kaka class.

i dont think it was a boring game. I thought stoke very very professional all over the pitch and we made a very good side look very normal. Nice to see us not sit quite as deep as we normally do
