Jason De Vos says Town will get a massive lift if Blues can take three points at the home of the Championship leaders on Saturday.
The Town skipper was speaking to Ipswich World as part of a new series previewing the matchday action.
"Stoke are a good side and deserve their place at the top of the table," says Jason.
"We will give them the respect they deserve but we will go there in confident mood and if we can get a win, it will give the lads a massive boost for the run-in. Article continues Advertisement
"I'm expecting a similar game to the Watford and Crystal Palace matches, they are a physically strong side with some very good players.
"Ricardo Fuller obviously carries a threat. He's an unpredictable player to face. He has the ability to beat three or four players and score a fantastic goal so we have to be switched on against him.
"But we can't afford to just focus on one player. They have other players who are capable of influencing a game in their team and it's important that we work as a unit to stop them.
"We have got the monkey off our back now though, after winning at Sheffield Wednesday and Palace and if we are on our game, we are capable of going there and getting a good result."
Town have a squad of 18 for the game and have no injury worries while Stoke will be missing left-back, Danny Pugh.
They are likely to have Marton Fulop available though, the goalkeeper is set to complete his loan move from Sunderland.
