There is no sentiment in football, and Tp will live or die by his judgement. If he thinks Fullop is better than Simmo or can bring more qualities to the team then so be it. If it's just a nudge to stop Simmo getting complacent then its a good move.

Simmo doesn't command his area, he doesn't communicate well with his defence and his distribution is nothing short of shit. So i would drop him tomorrow and give this lad a go.

Sitting in the family stand we are seeing a lot of goals down our end at the moment. It may not be true but it seems like we concede an awful lot from cosses (set pieces and open play). I'd probably blame simmo and the defence 50 -50 but when simmo doesn't know whether to stay or come and then flaps nowhere near the ball it can't instil confidence.
I don't know if it's the answer to drop him - his shot stopping is amazing but with such a young defence in front of him maybe Pulis reckons we need someone to command the area a bit more.
At the end of the day Pulis wants to improve the squad and from what I can tell, sending Hoult out and bringing Fulop in has done just that. (god, i sound like a rimmer!)

we really do look woeful trying to defend the cross to the back stick and knockback.
How can we not play Cort or Shawcross??? They've scored 15 goals between them so far.

hampton pig - the defence isn't that young. Griffin - 28 Cort - 28 Shawcross - 20 Pugh - 25
Average age - 25 1/4

It would be harsh, hopefully it will just be the kick up the arse that will get him back on form. Our defensive lapses of late have been down to Simo, but not all by physical errors, the defence have to deal with everything that comes into the box because Simo won't come and he doesn't talk to them. A Keeper is a guide from the back
