Sir Alex Ferguson wenger (despite the years of antaganism and comedy value) you have to respect what he's done moyes o'neil arry arry give us a twitch! ;D bring this thread back in a couple of seasons and Mr Pulis could well be up there, if I had put him in it might have sounded patronising to some of you and I don't want that, and obviously the guys above have been around for yonks

This is just on grounds of quality, not necessarily achievement since that depends on the club

I just realised, there's no-one under 50 on my list and Tone's the youngest by a few years - interesting the way experience comes out at the top.

Alan K, you suggest your choice all do a good job, without the resouces of the Big Four - and Bruce is one of them!
He bought Bent, when we couldn't afford him (or his wages) and Turner and Cattermole, when Rafa couldn't get the money. They also went in for other top players who didn't want to live up there.
Apart from good crowds, Ellis Short (Sunderland owner) is loaded.
