Sorry was going to put more and got interrupted by the phone!
Mainly the access / egress to the ground. Stoke are planning and (I think) have started the wheels in motion regarding a subway to help spectators get away from the ground without blocking roads off. This in turn will help empty the car parks more efficiently.
In the short term they will apply to get Stan Matthews way one way only after matches OR a traffic cop to help with flow of traffic.
The facilities although good at traioining ground will be rebuilt and massively improved and although the corners of the ground WON'T be filled in just yet the Stoke fans in the away end MIGHT continue and some sort of temporary blocking in of corners coukld happen'
When pushed on incoming players PC said nowt but the way he said nowt meant yes! Unless my body reading skills are totally pants!!!

wigan's prices are low this season , but they we'rent last year
They want/need huge away followings from the big North west clubs..and last season most of those were £35 I recall , which was resulting in boycotts..

Terrific. A football club is about more than its team and we've lagged behind for far too long. Primarily, a decent club takes care of its supporters and some of these suggestions will do just that. Can't come fast enough for me and congratulations go to C & S for the prospect. Just thinking about it will put a spring in my step at the week-end. The Brit will be in danger of being, if not loved, at least more acceptable and that will l mean a few less excuses for the stay-aways. This season is getting more exciting by the minute!

So, you get the chance to speak to the chairman and you discuss prices, possible loan signings and car parking.
No mention of ... is he going to shaft us again?
Gosh, you're hardnosed aren't you!?
My life, no wonder the area is so badly paid.
Did you all doff your caps and kiss his arse as well?
I'll be at the next one, even if it costs me work!

Wigan have cheap prices because it's not a footballing town....they're ground is nearly empty when football is on, as opposed to the JJB packed to the rafters when the Rugby League is on...although those prices do seem sensible!

anarchicalan, if you had been there and asked the question you wanted to be asked, what do you think the reply would have been?
Personally, I don't think Coates intends to shaft us this time round - but even if I DID think he would shaft us I wouldn't expect him to answer "yes, of course" if I asked him the question! ;D
What might have been a good idea would have been to ask what Coates' plans are for the next few years. Does he still have plans to bring on board a co-investor if/when we are in the Premiership? Also, I'd like to have an idea of what (if any) exit strategy he has. Does he expect to leave the club to his family when he shuffles off this mortal coil (given that they are not fans themselves) or does he plan to sell at least a majority interest before then? These are questions which should certainly be asked within the next few months whether we get promoted or not.

Fornside....Oatcakes own Jeremy Paxman should haave been there to interrogate Coates...then we would all be as wise as him

I while ago i asked him if he was going to sell Higgy before or at the end of the season, he said no. within weeks Higgy was wearing the red and white stripes of Sunderland.
Not much point in asking him awkward if you ask me.

what was his general mood, did he give off the air of someone who felt vindicated, committed, proud? Did he give the idea that he was committed to the long haul? Evidence of contrition? He must have noticed that the recent mood of optimism around the club has come from investment in players and an effort to address some of the issues that fans have, its fundemental that fans be viewed as stakeholders in the club, I hope he gave some recognition that this was at last sinking in!
