Jim on Stoke Trip Thursday 21 Feb 2008 12:44:33 by Phil Boss Jim Magilton expects a fantastic game and a big challenge when the Blues travel to Stoke on Saturday looking for their first ever victory at the Britannia Stadium. The last time Town won away against the Potters was back in March 1997 at their old Victoria Ground when Mauricio Taricco scored the only goal. Magilton said: “It's a fantastic game for us and another challenge. We are looking forward to it and a good result will keep our bandwagon rolling.
“We are now better equipped to go to the Britannia Stadium than four or five weeks ago. Two away wins have given us renewed confidence.
“[Stoke manager] Tony [Pulis] will be confident of three points but his team will be wary of us. He has a lot of talented boys in a side based on a very solid back four.”
As well as a first win at the Britannia Stadium, Town will be looking for their third successive away win after going almost a year without winning on their travels. The last time the Blues managed three away wins in a row was at the beginning of 2006 when Southampton, Norwich City and Crewe were the beaten opponents.
Magilton is likely to have a full squad to pick from with David Norris expected to be fine despite his heel injury, while Jon Walters and Alan Lee have recently been playing through knee and achilles problems.

It should be a tough test against the tractor boys on Saturday, but assuming that we tighten up a bit through the middle of our defence, I fully expect us to come through.

hope we stuff em. Used to really like ipswich when they were in the prem but now they are one of those teams who just think they are massive.
