Inchy Heath
I'd say he will welcome the chance to have a go with a brand new outfit in a developing country. Always liked the bloke.

Aztex want Heath Adrian Heath, the former Everton forward, is set to be confirmed as the manager of the Austin Aztex, the new American club. The former Burnley and Sheffield United manager, 47, has been out of work since losing his job as assistant manager of Coventry City in February last year. The Aztex, who have an affiliation with Stoke City, will start life in the country’s second tier in April next year. www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/article3406183.ece

Adrian "Inchy" Heath was scouted by Cliff Birks, a great scout and a bloody good man. I had the privelege of knowing him for several years before he died.
Cliff scouted many good players but it was Inchy who made regular visits to see him towards the end of his life.
Top men, both of them.

I met Inchy a few times through my brother who played cricket with him one season. I thought he was a very genuine, down-to-earth bloke who had time for everyone. My impression was that he was a capable, intelligent guy with the interpersonal skills suited to management.

Good luck to him, Inchy is regarded as a good coach but had a bit of a sticky spell in management at Burnley and Sheff Utd.

Strange that the Times mentions the affiliation between the Aztex and Stoke but don't mention that Inchy started his career at Stoke before we sold him to Everton.

Fornside, my same thoughts but perhaps it provides further insight into the blinkered agenda of the media or, perhaps, just poor research. Eye

Perhaps the Times article was trying to preserve the notion that a rigorous selection process was involved prior to the appointment.

He's also the same short arsed twat who gave the 'V's to the Boothen End when he scored for Everton. I also remember him giving it large up Hanley Duck and in Newcastle pubs as he had a couple of very big minders with him. Arrogant knob. Heart over head decision there from PhilR? ???

I met Inchy when he visited my infants school (Springfields) and my impression of him then was "arrogant knob". I met him againat work years later when I sold him some carpets and he was actually a decent bloke. Good luck to him, and to the Aztecs.....gives me a team to follow over here in the footballing wasteland!
