I must admit I have mixed feelings about this apparent new found hysteria i.e stoke possible promotion hopefuls to the top flight and all.
I'm not the best supporter by any means at all, recent years Ive tend to go to 15 - sometimes 20 home games a season - pay full price too (usually) I also used to go away quite a bit until the membership scheme too and, have noticed the recent upsurge, I also notice the increased interest via these short term season tickets and the freebie last week that introduced what appeared to be some thousands to our stadium many of whom plainly hadn't been there before. I'm going away in march so, the current short term offer is of limited value to me and, being an 'out of towner', getting tickets these-days relies upon the doubtful delights of the ordering of them over the phone.
I just hope there are a few left for the likes of me - who've tended to come, over the last few years, from outside the area when the real excitement hits and they, (the club) don't forget those who have been there on the dark rainy nights in old division three, shouting them on when they've been simply awful.
suppose this is a moan, I suppose its a heartfelt plea though too.
BUT I'VE ALWAYS BEEN A STOKE SUPPORTER I hear sometimes from some locals - like err, ---- yeah !!!

Sadly it's unlikely to happen..it's dog eat dog
Col U as I've posted elsewhere is a prime test...potentially the biggest away game since notts county in the 70's yet unlike that day our allocation will be tiny and no chance of picking up any via col U as it's their last game at Layer road before they move...and besides they might need to win to stay up
Prove me wrong Stoke, but I'm not holding my breath as to how Stoke will allocate our tickets?

Well I'm a season ticket holder, I had the legends ten year membership, I had an away card from day one and go to every Saturday match home and away and all midweek home as well as one or two mid week aways.
I've done about twelve seasons every match and about ten where I've only missed one. I know there are probably a few dozen Stoke fans that have seen more than that. I think (hope) none of us miss Col U or any other match for some former ManUre fan that can smell local glory!

I have been there every step of the way.
Ive seen some schytte, had me heart broken over and over.
To put it in perspective, when we won the Autoglass twice I was so proud -top of the world and the best club in the land. Remember Wembly?
But look at where we are now. It pales in to insignificence.
progress indeed under Tone and Pete.

BUT I'VE ALWAYS BEEN A STOKE SUPPORTER I hear sometimes from some locals - like err, ---- yeah !!! Been a supporter since the late 60's, went through the heartache of being robbed by Arsenal in two successive semi-finals and the joy of 1972. Was a regular during the Hudson era and beyond until I moved away from the city in the late 80's. Still a fan and because I can't get there doesn't mean I'm no less a fan. Im looking to buy a mini season ticket for the run in and surely the more there, the better?

Huddysleftfoot I agree the more the merrier!
The only time I'd be peed off is if a small away allocation was given to people who couldn't find the time or money when we were rubbish!

I'm only pissed off with people who only come to the fa cup matches ( Geordies match )... When the matches before and after that we got 15,000.
;D
Love when the Brit is near full on a league matchday.

I have been a paid up stokie for 18 years and we were never crap! We were just not as good as we are now! The only times I could call really bad were under Bates and Kamara! After that Clearly bad results against the likes of Maccelsfield & Grimsby etc were hard to swallow but I have had the best days of my life at Wembley in the Autoglass and at Cardiff winning promotion in the sheepshaggers national stadium. I really want and look forward to life in the prem but! I would not swap those experiences for anything!

Scouse in relation to the Colchester tickets. I have attended every game home and away this season, in both the league and cup, I will be gutted if I missed out on a ticket for Colchester, as the allocation is around 800 and would go within the first hour or so of business. Surely they are going to have to a system, whereby people who attended X amount of away games, get first dibs.

I havent been able to get there, so im one of the fans who has only been there through the bad Soon as I stop going stoke for promotion and the last time we almost got promoted was ironically the season before my dad started taking me to stoke matches - I've been a jinx all these years

potters11 would hope so, selfishly so I get sorted and others in a similar postn do likewise , but I wouldn't bet on it..besides what about others? They have the info, but unlike other clubs who use 'qualifying points Stoke have never done that.. so if they started now in fairness plenty of others would be entitled to feel slighted. JSU and Legends use to have priorty ( scholes cancelled that facility this season ),In the past ( first season down in the third) they've used a ballot system It's a tough un and TBH probably makes me a bit of a saddo worrying over getting a ticket when there's more important things happening in the world..but a worry none the less PS if it's first come first served then I'll be sleeping out,for a least one or as many nights as I calculate I'll need

I can't afford to go to away games, so it was pointless buying an ID card, even if I agreed with the system.
So to all those of you fortunate enough to be able to travel to most away games, I sincerely hope you get a ticket. In your shoes I'd be gutted to miss out.
