Frasier lad - reading your posts I think you have the wrong end of the stick - nobody was saying sit with the away fans mate - they opened it up for Stokies last night.
Sorry your trip seemed wasted - there were seats around the ground (especially block 26 in the corner) so it seems odd to me that they couldn't find 2 together.

There were plenty of empty seats in the JSL. Those were my thoughts when i saw the u-tube video. If there were no seats i can understand. In hindsight though, it's my own fault. I should have got my tickets earlier. deathofthebronx >> Don't lose sleep over where i want to sit. I didn't

Thats what makes me mad There were seats but, as Padders says could they have been ST holders who didn't go. To me there were too many empty seats to be ST holders who didn't go PS No i was told Away end would be split in half. I just didnt want to go there

Block 26 only gets full if there are no tickets left - its generally a ghost block!
Can't see any ST holders in there normally, apart from the mad few.It could have been those from Tuesday that didn't bother but got a ticket anyway...
Family stand wasn't completely full, JSL certainly wasn't full, lots of space in the blocks by the Boothen.
There were even seats at the front of the Boothen (although they are the coldest seats in the ground!)
Was there no pay on the gate last night?

Its a good point Robo10 makes, how many got their free ticket but just couldn't use it, or give it away ? must have been a few I guess

In all fairness, the chap behind the counter said there were a few at the front they had to keep empty because they were spilling over on Tuesday. Like you i saw more than a few empty seats in the JS lower.
Dont know about Pay at the gate i was there at 9.30 in the morning. Had to come to Stoke anyway to pick up my son from his nans. Didnt expect it to be as full as the chap said.
To me it wasn't
