so i hear in newcastle. Does anyone else think that the management should put a stop to this just until the end of the season. i know all young men like to go for a night out with the lads, but these aren't you average young men. they are on the brink of becoming player in one of if not the biggest league in the world and i just think that they have enough on at the moment with our promotion campaign without nursing a bad head this morning. I'm not saying dont go out, but this looks like it could be our season so just wait until your all premiership player then get bladdered!!! (closed season mind) ;D

You can't put shackles on them. We haven't got a game until Saturday now so there's no harm them going out and enjoying themselves. Sinking a few jars after going top is fine with me!!!

I think that we all needed a drink after the final whistle last night! I think there's sufficient time between Friday evening and the next match to have a few drinks and relax (no stupid behaviour mind ) Plus, a bit of outside team-building/bonding is ok by me.

They should be ok, for Saturday unless they have more in the week, couple of good training sessions in the week will get rid. On average it takes about one hour for your body to process one unit of alcohol. This varies depending on your body size, sex and the amount of food in your digestive system. If your liver isn't functioning normally, the process takes longer. One unit of alcohol is roughly equivalent to half a pint of beer, a 25ml (pub) measure of spirit, or two-thirds of a small (125ml) glass of wine. This means that one pint takes your body about two hours to break down, and a large glass of wine (250ml) about three hours - longer if the ABV (alcohol by volume) content is higher than average. So if you have seven pints during a night out, it could take as long as 17 or 18 hours to leave your system.

After 3 hectic games in 1 week, i think it's good for everybody to get their minds off football and have a few drinks, can't do any harm...

If they were going out on a Thursday/Friday night before a saturday game then fair enough, its not really professional. However, their next game is next Saturday and they probably have a few days off to recuperate. I doubt they got bladdered anyway. Cut em some slack. SGS

A few years back after a saturday home game we hit town, in Liquid we saw a certain Mr James O'Connor, completely fkn bladdered, chain smoking 20 berkley, he could barely stand when he left at around 3am with a random blonde on his arm. The next morning the squad flew out to Iceland to play a few matches, he played a full 90 mins less than 12 hours later and according to the sentinel he coverd every blade of grass on the pitch and was head n shoulders above the rest of em! Lets not forget that these young men are at the peak of their physical fitness with recovey times far quicker than the rest of us piss-heads; and I'm sure TP will be the first to crack the whip if anthing gets out of hand. How can we to begrudge them some sort of ormal enjoyment a full week before the next fixture; as far as I'm concerened a healthy team sprit and good vibes throughout the squad will go a very long way at a stage in the season when trying to secure an automatic promotion spot. Keep it up lads!

Ridiculous first comment. I would be concerned if they didn't want to go out for a drink together.

after 3 games in 6 days, they will probably not be training again till monday morning, last night was an ideal time to let them off the leash a little , but only if they had won, which they did
