We didn't get to top of the league by playing West Brazil ball (look where it's got them and Sheffield United!), we got there by playing the stuff we're good at - getting it in the box quick and playing the football in the opposition half. Combine this with a team that played physically (outmuscled in 1.5 games, that's a turn up for the books), a defence who are ridiculously uncoordinated and a half fit Diao and we were 2 goals down straight on. That nonsense we played early on nearly cost us the game.
I should add - we're top of the sodding league, GOOOAAARRRRN STOKE ;D Imagine being a West Brazil or Watford fan celebrating Scunthorpe going 2 up and then seeing us get back in the league. Brilliant stuff.

MD: To be fair to Scunny, they looked up for it and were closing us down everytime we got the ball.

Scunthorpe did that well, that's how they dominated. Gave us no time on the ball, which made it worse that we were trying to play it out all the time, because the half fit Diao just couldn't cope.

In the second half we matched Scunthorpe's work rate and our quality shone through I thought.
