Pulis has never been relegated in his whole career as a player and a manager.
Can't wait to get to the premiership and get a bit of stability in the 1st season then push on for europe the following season. Alright i mite be dreaming abit for europe but at least we won't go down.

Being renowned to retain a team's status in the lower league's is all well and good - however, it's a different ball game when your competing against sides paying huge sums of money in the Premiership.

sad to see Bolton in Europe and how well they have done after we beat them to the title early 90's, they pushed on, we sold our best players

I hope that is true, but i have a feeling that if we do go up, we will break his record. I honestly believe we will be spending a few years yo yoing (if we do go up!) between the Prem and the Championship as we slowly strengthen and consolildate our side before settling in the prem.

I'd take yo-yoing as long as we don't go up, come down, then crash out completely.
It is Stoke we're talking about, after all.

When we go up as champions this year Pulis will attract enough premiership players to come and join us. He will build an atmosphere that will mean that we stay up, all the players joining our team will know that they will be fighting relegation from the off. Pulis won't get us relegated in our first season up, if we were to be relegated I think it may be the following season.
The fun has started now anyway, we can dream of getting promoted and thinking of flirting with the top two divisions for a few years. That for me is success in itself.
