Blackburn have just had a goal disallowed for offside and the decision was correct.
There has been an abundance of correct decisions this weekend!
Is some good reffing breaking oiut in English football? Surely not!

Why wasn't van Nistelrooy given offside when Ronaldo played the ball in for Man United's 3rd goal yesterday? ??? ;D Edit- Oh yeah, there were also 2 hand-balls in that same game. 1 given as a free-kick when it was clearly inside the box and one at the other end when Graham Barber decided he was blind. Although it may just have been this game where there were errors?! Edit 2- The same shit linesman also failed to give Man United a penalty when Higginbotham clearly got none of the ball. Edit 3- Ronaldo clearly dived for the first Man United goal as well. There's always one.

Because Van Nistelrooy was deemed inactive in the first phase of possession leading up to the goal.
Whether you agree with that rule or not it was applied correctly.

As if the linesman even thought about that when he didn't raise his flag! As I said yesterday, that rule not only means players could stand in the D (as messers Townsend and Atkinson (wasn't it?) pointed out on The Preimership). but van Nistelrooy could even have stood on the back post as long as Ronaldo played the ball into the general area of the box (as he did). That's just stupid. Even van Nistelrooy hadn't got a clue about the rule because he did his usual trick of standing 2-3 yards in front of the last defender and then trying to rush back out just as the free-kick was taken. Are clubs sent all these changes to the rules?! Phases of play?!?!?! Whatever next? How about, you are offside as long as you aren't interferring with play? By being on the pitch van Nistelrooy was interferring with play! What an absolute load of bollocks! So yes Joe, you are right (even if that crap linesman didn't have a clue), and as you can tell, I do not agree with that rule!
