Are Stoke City really going to suffer from fans who put their snippets on the net?
There are things that worry me with regards the draconian nature of the copyright thing.
It seems that the 'league' almost seem to be taking a Formula 1, Bernie Ecclestone approach toward their brand.
The danger is that F1 is clearly more concerned about the money than the fans.(eg The cynical efforts in the U.S. a couple of years ago which backfired, and the problems Michelin had when trying to organise a fans autograph session)
It is also a problem highlighted in the Premiership when Ferguson described Old Trafford -like a morgue...due to the corporate hospitality ?
Many pop groups publish their stuff on the net....because of the free publicity! If the premiership decide to decamp these shores for The Brand,wherefore-art the other divisions?
Wally was doing SCFC a service..his videos were publicity for the club and could not be confused with the official stuff.
This gets the club out to a wider GLOBAL audience...who just might pick up on SCFC and check us out in more detail (=money)
REMEMBER THE FANS,S.C.F.C.-and the global market.

LH. It does not matter who was telling him to stop, the issue is that of control and who stands to gain.
I do not think it is in SCFCs long term interests to have free 'fanvision' banned by 'The Powers that be.'
We tend to think of these faceless bureaucrats as the great and the good who have a vision for the sport, but I wonder if it is one that serves ALL clubs equally.
Why don't SCFC set up their own free site for fans to post or at least 'license' fans. The power of the net to do good for the club is tremendous...and watching Gonzos videos of a match with all the camera shake and fuzziness gives a fans perspective on things which is worth showing.
