Until our impressive run, I'm sure that most if not all of the teams in this division saw their fixture with Stoke as an invitation to 3 points, and far too often that proved to be the case, not so now though, TP and ALL the players have certainly reversed the tables emphatically and not without some style.
How refreshing to actually look forward to games knowing that we now stand a good chance of coming out victors rather than the vanquished!
Yesterdays game MUST have given the whole of the squad of players so much of a confidence lift way above the already high levels that our fantastic run of form must have created.
Not since the reign of Macari can I remember such spirit from a set of Stoke players.
I think the turning point was the players meeting after the Cardiff game, which it appears they now have on a regular basis, and since then, they've not looked back, and to be so close to the play off spot is all credit to that togetherness and commitment, which TP and the players are now showing. and they should be very proud of what they are achieving, because they certainly are making their supporters proud!
With this attitude who knows what they can achieve!
Very early days yet, but at last we may be seeing the sort of team that we've yearned for for years and years!
At the moment the futures bright and RED AND WHITE!

Can't argue with any of that, Tel. On the pitch the players look like a bunch of mates not a collection of strangers - or, even worse, a team in name only, grouped into cliques. Anyway changing the subject. The ambiance in D's yesterday was a pale shadow of normal thatnks to the absence of you and H. Are you both ok? You haven't been taking any of Old Stokie's enemas have you? You'd have enjoyed yesterday - hope you get well soon.

Yes, Tel, D's just aint the same without your good wibbly wobbly self and 'arold being in attendance. Although I wasn't too well myself, I did finally make it to the game [thanks to Colonel Fornside calling at Dresden mansions and creating holy hell] which made me forget my own ailments and a guts that was assimilar to Chernoble. (I glow in the dark now!) Have to agree with all you say. Being a Stokie is becoming a pleasure in many positive ways. If that had been a while back, I wouldn't have gone. Hope you are a bit better mate. Take care. Mick.

Unbelievable!! Me and my mate scrimp and save for weeks, the kids go without food and shoes and extra hours of work over and above the normal 25 hour a day shift are put in. All this so we can afford to have one match where we can afford to rub shoulders with the rich and famous amoungst Stoke City supporters. All that sacrifice and then find that the Telford one can't be arsed to grace us with his presence and illuminate our lives with his knowledge of the beautiful game. I can only conclude that it was an elitist gesture and we must realise that we belong with the sweaty masses at the Poverty League, pre-match. Get well Tell. See you soon. ;D ;D
