Was watching sky sports last night and to my horror I found Mr West Ham himself, Tony f'n Gale watching our match. Now I have never liked the bloke since he co-commentated on a Stoke v Brum match last season, where we drew 0-0, but he criticised everything we did, yet Brum could get no wrong, even a few nasty tackles by Muamba was going unpunished yet if one of our lot made a tackle it was deemed a x-rated tackle, the guy is a knob.
Yet last night again, sat with his lazy ass in his seat, the guy looked totally uninterested with the whole first half, even though we were 3-0 up, apparently, poor old saints were being bullied, mostly at set pieces. Even that fat, alky knob sat next to him weighed in with a few comments.
So the second half kicks off, Saints score, his face lights up!...they score again, the guy is nearly falling off the chair, Saints this and Saints that..."Its the Stern John show" he said, marvellous stuff from Saints, Stoke are wobbling! you could see the whole panel having a fucking party!. They could smell an equaliser. The anchorman, Ed "I'm crap at my job" Chamberlain going back to Gale every five minutes asking if there had been a fantastic fightback from a deserving Southampton, yet there wasn't, Stoke, unbelievably, were attacking the Southampton goal again. How dare they?. At this point, Gale had fallen back in his chair, he may as well of thrown his headset off and had a good cry.
The last seconds left of the game, Ed Chamberlain had been back to check on West Brazil for the 12th time in 10 minutes. They were crestfallen as the great West Brazil had failed to do anything against that shit from Sheffield. (hope Robson gets sacked...twat). Another check at the Brit, Gale was looking so depressed. "No chance of a fightback" he said. But apparently Stoke had had another chance, Liam had smacked one over the bar. Gale's comments were, " It was a terrible shot, if that had gone in then it would of been 4-2 to Stoke and such a shame on Southampton, who would of had all their hard work ended so cruelly". Oh we are sorry Gale for wanting to extend our lead, how dare we??!. I have no idea why I watch Sky Sports, only Jeff Stelling seems to give us some credit for where we are at the moment. The rest of them are a waste of time.
On a good note however, well done big Mama!! he scored us the winner, lets watch the floodgates open now, Mama for Golden boot. Anyway rant over. Well done lads last night, although I was on tentahooks for the whole second half, we always do it the hard way don't we? thats why we love em!!. Lets beat the Scunny and take the top spot, never to move!. TP RED AND WHITE ARMY!
GOARRRNNNNN STOKE

It's good to see nuetrality still exists in the Sky football pundits, Gale has always been the same, he is as boring as he sounds and what a shame hope it ruined his entire evening for him.

You beat me to this post dan. I was sat watching it myself and it was blatently obvious who he was wanting to win. When we got our 3rd i think it was they were asking merson about the watford game and you you could here him saying clearly "oh for christs sake" humming and harring. Then low and behold they go to him and we have scored again and he is quick to say we are just battering them with long throws and corners.
