Bloody ell one minute we can't score and no one can score against us and now we let thne opposition score at will and just assume we'll score more!
Pro TP I've almost always been but the one thing I never thought I'd see was TPs teams being as cavalier as Keegans Newcastle of a few years back!
Bloody exciting excellent entertainment BUT my nerves are shot! Not sure if I can stand another 15 games like that!

True - but we do score an absolutely BONKERS amount of goals from set-pieces.
Our set-piece goal % is off the charts, and pretty unprecedented.
It was hovering around the 55%-60% mark a while ago.
And after the 3 efforts tonight, it may even be higher.
The average in the Prem is apparently 25% - and Villa are breaking all kinds of records with somewhere around the high 40s% of their goals coming via free-kicks and corners, even surpassing Allardyce's Bolton.

Can't help thinking this reliance on set pieces is rather fragile existence... playing for corners v Sheff Utd at home an example of this. Don't believe our plan B, C are the most robust tactics.
Remember hearing that O'Neill's Leicester side scored an extraordinary %age from set pieces, something around the 60% mark, so we must be close to that. And that side certainly had their few years in the sun.

Tonight we scored 3 goals from set pieces on Saturday we scored 3 goals from open play. Goals are goals it doesn't matter how they come about, I'm quite happy that we actually work on this in training and we are reaping the rewards from it.

I'm a 1-0 sort of person and I didn't enjoy the first 20 mins of that second half. We just went to pieces for a time and looked all over the place. To be fair to them, they had a real go but we can't keep conceding two and still win.
