news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/sheff_utd/8144711.stmTwo excellent signings there IMO. From our point of view, could these be the two transfers to stimulate us into action? Could Tone use his 'special relationship' with Harry to capture a left-back in particular from Spurs that has been displaced by the arrival of Walker and Naughton? Looking at their squad list, you'd imagine Bale or Assou-Ekotto and possibly even Chimbonda or Corluka could be moved along. Thoughts? (Wheel if necessary)

Aren't they both right backs? I don't know how correct that is because it's what I read in the paper. I know Naughton is.

I've just seen this. The first thing I thought was how bad are Everton's finances. These two were reportedly off to Goodison a few weeks ago.
My second thought is about full backs at Spurs. Are the likes of Bale and Hutton now available?

Sound, like I said it was just what I read in the paper. I still wouldn't want Bale though. Terrible left back imo.

Bale can't defend! May as well play him on the wing

This epitomises the revolving door at Spurs, especially in relation to buying up young talent.
KP Boateng Chris Gunter Adel Taarabt Calum Davenport Gio Dos Santos Frazer Campbell Reto Ziegler Teemu Tainio Wayne Routledge
To name but a few. Signed up amidst the bright lights of London, they're either immediately farmed out on loan or sold on merely a year later.
If the same doesn't happen to Naughton or Walker, Bale and Hutton will be the next ones to be out on their arses.

Hutton's name has been touted in the press for a move to another prem club so he may well already be off.
Corluka can play CB too, which is quite likely bearing in minf the spurs defenders injury history
