If we are to make any more additions to our squad then now is the time to do so.We are playing with much confidence and spirit and the performances bear out that it is now a HAPPY squad.Any player now would be able to integrate easily and quickly, much more so than if we were struggling and the pressure was on.We really have no pressure on us as such as no one really expects this to be our year. That said, this league is so wide open that with a couple of prudent and influential signings then just who knows?. This Keown talk seems a little fanciful but perhaps he has been offered a coaching role?.You never know. I do expect more new faces soon and then when we get our players back what a squad we will have.I have to say with such attractive home games coming up as West Brom,Ipswich and West Ham we are in for a treat.

I would be tempted to carry on the rest of the season with our current squad, see what happens and then assess the players at the end of the season.
We had seven players out today (not including players out on loan), that is about 65% of the team. And we still managed to put in a good performance, show good ability and most of important of all, we got the three points. It is very unlikely that our injusry/suspension probelms are going to get any worse than our current status so I think we have (just about) got the cover we need for this season.
So I wouldn't blame the board or TP for settling with what we've got for the rest of the season (providing we can keep Gerry for the remainder) and then looking to invest pre-season and push on for a play-off posisiton next season.
God, just the thought of that last sentance sent a shiver down me spine. Life is good, very good ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I think the key to any future team building lays in certain players being "moved on" , and their wages being freed up for others to come in.
Yesterday was a REAL test of the "Squad" we all know our first choice XI is not at all bad, and we got 3pts, can't ask any more than that.
would love to think we could "push on" but I'm allready in dream land, and every game it conitinues is a bonus

I agree with Croydonstokie.
Russell played really well yesterday (as did the others) but the squad still needs another central midfielder.
Also, for all we know, Gerry's loan might not be extended, so we definitely need either to hold on to him longer or bring in somebody similar.
Let's see what can be achieved this season before we start focussing too much on the next.
