Boothers apparent love for all things Dexy got me thinking.... Remember going to West Brom in 1980 I was 16 and it was my first adult free away trip with my mate ! We went on the service train and got there early with only enough money to get in !! ( We were starving !! ) We won 1-0 and Stokies sang Gino throughout the game !! I thought I was Fucking Great when we walked back to the Station singing Gino till some big Yam Yam twated me one and called me Gino boy Shit myself all the way back to train managed to blag our way on to Football special back .... Then hung out of window giving it plenty to Baggies fans on Smethwick Rolfe St Station ;D Still one of my Best ever Away Games

I feel compelled to observe that Come on Eileen and Geno were two of the most irritating drone alongs I can recall from the 80s. The only people I can remember liking them also had a taste for Northern Soul which says it all for me. I will also add that Kevin Rowland was one of the biggest fuckwits to ever open his mouth in the earshot of journalists. The journalists came second in fuckwittery for repeating what the idiot had to say in the first place. It usually consisted of excusing his own two hit one chord shite by blasting the works of real muscicians. I don't remember Stokies ever using this lift music for any occasion and if they did I have wiped it from my mind If anyone has any doubts; I just don't like anything about the band or the individuals in it! ;D

Mark I have no strong views either Positive or Negative on the band but I can assure you that it was sang throughout the game at WBA

You know something must be true When Jackie Wilson Says but MarkW says the opposite I don't ever remember us singing Gino - other than in the car on the way to the game - but me and lil-bro would have joined in if we had! ah
