I'm an ST holder, and I've been to the ground today, to get get my mate a ticket for him and his 5 yr old son, incredibly my mate has never been to a football match at the age of 38.
The club are doing a fantastic thing to gain us more fans - something we're all forever saying we need - and what happens? - You get moronic chav ST holders in the queue complaining to each other as loud as possible about 'glory hunters' and 'fucking scum out for a freebie'.
Many people in that queue today will have heard all that and be put off Stoke for life, I know I was ashamed and embarrassed.
Why do some ST holders seem to think they shouldn't have to queue like the common folk, and should be carried through the stadium in a silk-lined litter as a local peasant girl gently wafts them with an ostrich feather?
To the moronic ST holders in the queue today - fuck off, you're a stain on our great club - we should all be encouraging so-called 'armchair fans' down to the ground, not putting them off for life!

Why were ST holders in the queue?
I was clever, my lucky Australian mate wanted a ticket (before they announced the free Scunthorpe offer). I fetched his last tuesday, then went back and got his free ticket last thursday. No queues, no fuss.

Lol well spotted MonkeyCat!
Dunno why they were queing, same reason as me maybe, but they pulled up, parked on the double yellows by the players car park, whinged, bitched and moaned in the queue for 10 mins, then gave up, skulked back to the car for more roll-ups bitching and wailing all the way, then got in the car and fucked off!
Tossers of the highest order.

Yes i agree to a degree , there is no need for them remarks or that kind of language, but on the other hand i earn a very poor wage and have a family to support, and ive been a season ticket holder for over 20 years now, be loyal be proud and dont stop going its in your blood, guaranteed next season if we get promoted season tickets double if we reach premier league you should be buying if we were in the championship or premier , come on stoke fans dig deep for next season regardless what happens.

I think as has been mentioned there were probably a lot of fans who normally pay on the day having to queue up which probably pissed them off. I can't imagine many season ticket holders needing to be there. There is an element of "I want people to know I'm here all the time" which you can kind of understand given the fact that the same faces are there week in week out. I don't mind people starting to see that we are going places it's a good sign and while I wish they were there at every match I'm delighted to see them wanting to watch the Potters and hope if they enjoy it over the next few games they continue to join us.

There are some ***** out there who'd rather see the ground half-empty than full. "It's our club, you can't join!". Pathetic. Don't we want big crowds, and the increased revenue this would bring? Fucking grow up.

I don't mind new people coming in at all, so long as they adhere to these rules: 1) No sitting in any of the seats marked 117 or 118. 2) Buy tickets in the corner first and then fill up other places 3) Don't get up halfway through the first half to go and fetch a pie and then turn up halfway into the second half with pie if it means you're going to block my view.

There is an awful lot of season ticket holders who think they are some sort of higher life form than non season ticket holders.
In truth, they are just twats.

BSR, Do you have a problem with people who's views differ to your own? It seems whenever I have an opinion not in line with your own, you claim i'm purposely being 'controversial'. Has the world always revolved around you? P.S Have an exhalt - I like you.

Mr Stiggers,
I can't stand the queue on matchdays or any other time (its painful), so I've started phoning the ticket office and getting my tickets that way.
Sometimes you are put on hold; but I ordered my tickets for Southampton and Scunny on Friday morning and they arrived in the post on Saturday. Got to choose where me and the lad are sitting. No extra charge for postage, no booking fee, and saved on petrol and hassle!
Hope your mate isn't put off by the knobheads. The more the merrier I say.
I've been watching Stoke for 30 years near enough and I can say I've been there when we've scraped 8000 and I've been there when we've locked 3000 out and had a full house (West Brom at the Vic - night match in the 90's) - and I know which I prefer!!
Come on you mighty Potters!!
