Now we're all getting excited about "the prem" and "huge crowds" but has anyone else seen the obvious (and very serious) problem?
Queues for the bar at half time.
Currently we go down at 38 mins which is bad enough but where do we stop?????? Just imagine Man U at home, you might as well not leave the concourse from before kick off.
Will the facilities will be improved or are we expected to get crushed week in week out by the hoards trying to get at the tasty bottles of warm carlsberg?
The club really is moving in the right direction and seems a vastly more proffessional outfit than in previous years so are the bar facilities in the plans for a revamp? Just look at some away ground we go to and there doesn't seem the same kind of chaos at half time (we went in the QPR end last season and getting a drink was quick and painless).

I refuse to eat or drink anything anymore.
I queued for a pie Vs Cardiff, 5 minutes before half time, and was served by the rather Incompetent and thick staff 5 minutes into the 2nd half.
There is no system, and they serve whoever shouts the loudest.

We've had American-style fast food outlets in the UK since the early 80s but their ideas on how to serve lots of people quickly don't seem to have impacted on the design of the concourse refreshments. If we had numerous, separate sales points with an obvious queuing arrangement it would be more efficient and safer. What do we get? Staff on Mogadon who are obviously not on any kind of efficiency bonus; Darwinian rugby scrum queuing;and a sales point 'system' that reminds me of an old-fashioned grocers in the days when supermarkets were science fiction. It's hardly rocket science, is it?

Yeah i was thinking the same today! I love the bigger crowds but it isn't half a pain in the arse when you cant get near the bar for a quick pint or two! I think there needs to be a smoking section built outside somewhere on the boothen so people can go out into a small fenced area to smoke and then this will help the congestion inside. Nothing fancy just a cheap little area and then you would stop the problem of walking into the toilets and finding yourself becoming an extra in Platoon.

It is a very serious problem gerry......
if we do progress there is no doubt that catering, parking and ticket issues will have to be addressed big style.
we don't want the Potters to be the laughing stock of the Prem do we ?

The old red sheep pens at the Vic worked fine, now it's just a free for all. I'm only 3' 6" and went at 1/2 time for a pie and got served on Sunday!!!

Must admit I've got that fed up of trying to get served at half time that I don't bother anymore and have a pie and pint before kick-off. Usually bring a flask and some chocolate for half time. Bloody hell getting more like my dad every day...ha ha. Cheers Adie
