.....if they get dragged into a relegation scrap ( and they are only two points in front of Sunderland now) how I would chuckle. The sheer arrogance, the belief that they have the best fans in the world, the "we deserve success" culture, the buffoon of a chairman ( ok, he's a self made multi millionaire but that doesn't mean that his business brain is entirely suited to footie machinations), and the sheer self delusion of some of the fans ( I refuse to believe that all of them have their heads rammed so far up their own backsides that they pick their nose internally) who think KK is the messiah, destined to bring back the glory days. Twaddle. Reading the newspaper reports today and over the weekend - Alan Smith up front, Viduka on the bench, Pearson leaving, Kevin Klueless - they are in dire straits. Above all, although I am no big Allardyce fan, he was treated rather badly although I daresay his pay off will keep him smiling, and then to bring in the aforementioned Mr Peagun closely followed by Dennis Wise. Why? I have followed Stoke for all my life - yes, we have been in the crap, yes we have made ridiculous decisions, yes we have been made to look foolish. But it's nowt compared to the shenanigans at St James Park. HAMSTA

10-1 for relegation, surely worth a punt.
I tell ya, I will LOVE it if they went down and we replaced them, LOVE it!

Hmmmm, yes I'd also laugh my bollox off if they got dragged into trouble. I like Keegan a lot but decisions like deciding to going back to Newcastle are beyond belief. Almost as absurd as the idea that he's the one to turn it round.

Their next 3 games could decide their season: Man U, Blackburn, Liverpool.
Lose those 3 and they'll be in a relegation scrap!

I hope they go down too. Lets see how many of the "best fans in the world" turn up against the likes of Swansea/Doncaster (if they get promoted

I think he new he was in for a relegation scrap anyway. The fact he spent no money in january shows he's planning big things in the summer so chose not to waste any money in jan. Be funny as fuck though if they go down because of it.

I, like most people wanted Newcastle to do well and win something but after the jizz fest which followed Keegan's arrival i hope they don't win another game all season and end up in the Championship.

It's not just Peagun who is on about potential relegation - so is Duff. I understand that Barton may be in yet more trouble after allegedly taking a swing at a Villa player. When you think of the amount of money they've spent on absolute sh1te over the last couple of years - Luque, Bramble, Owen ( I am a tad uncomfortable about him due to his undoubted ability - but if he was a racehorse he'd be in a can of Pal by now), Barton, Duff ( he's never performed for them) and even Butt who went from there on loan to Birmingham ( I think). Yet they think they're a big club. quite.

I wouldn't mind seeing them take the plunge after the keegan incident. Would probably be one of the great relegations a la Leeds United 2004
Lets see how many (football) mad geordies turn up for a home match vs. Colchester ;D

JPM, I meant when Keegan first took over and he built a great attacking team. The latter years where shambolic, the sacking of Robson was idiotic to say the least. Nothing would please me more than for stoke City to take their place in the premiership.

Be funny as fuck though if they go down because of it. Surely KK must know how difficult it is to get out of the Championship so to wait until the summer to strenghthen the team is one almighty gamble. One that the 'best supporters in the world' will not be best pleased with if it all goes tits up.

Is this a calculated plan by Kevin Kego? Maybe he held back from signing players in the January window in the hope that his "beloved" Newcastle are relegated. He can then blame it all on Allardyce, spend 150 million in the summer and take the Championship by storm, strengthening his position as "The Messiah" by taking the geordies back to the big time. HE knows the fans would love it, just love it if they could feel important again, and the desperate, success starved Toon Army would again be dreaming of Premiership Titles, Champions League glory, FA cups....... And the rest off us can piss ourselves laughing as we watch him completely fuck it up again!
