I've watch it numerous times and it was never a penalty in a month of Sundays! For 3 very good reasons: 1) It was a bouncing 50:50 ball which both players reached simultaneously 2) Salif either touched the ball at same time or was about 1/2 inch off playing it and also he never took his eyes off the ball and wouldn't of seen there player coming for it. 3) Most important there player definately went down looking for it as there was no chance of actually scoring from that position - facing away from goal and near the edge of the area. So I have to say well done Mr A Marriner for being in the perfect position and making a very good decision.

I don't quite remember that moment from the audio because I was too busy shitting myself and praying for full time BUT there is no doubt at all that it was never a penno! ;D Mind you I'm biased!

it's one of "I've them given moments" But everything you have saud Piibaa is true. But in all fairness, They should have had a peno against him for handball earlier in the match

If it'd have been the other way round we'd be screaming our heads off that it was a stone wall penno, still we've had better shouts not given and as Chumly says Gally should have had one in the first half.

I thought it WAS a peno - makes a nice change after some of the ones not given for us and given against us - so made me laugh even more when Ricardo ran straight up the other end and scored!!!

Their other shout for a penno when Pugh hand balled it was IMO a definite penno, Marriner makes up for his performance against Coventry ;D

I'm not convinced about the Pugh incident - The ball was blasted at him from point-blank range, and if his arms hadn't stopped the ball, his face would've.
It was much less a penalty than a few we've seen not given at The Brit this season.

My instinct at the game was no penalty as he dived and tried to con the ref, I have seen them given but we most certainly got lucky with the Pugh handball.
The Gallagher one, which was right in front of us, would have been very generous indeed

It was a penalty.
We'd have been screaming blue murder if it had been the other way around.

My 1st instinct was that it was a penalty. After seeing it about 4 times now I'd say Piibaa's comments are spot on, he was looking for it and doesn't look like he attempted to touch the ball himself. However the ref doesn't get 4 attempts so we where very lucky he didn't give it.

The decision not to award Wolves a penalty was absolutely correct because after pressing pause and then slow on the VCR remote control Salif got a foot on the ball quite clearly just before their player came in and tumbled from behind.

Sadly I agree with Spiderman...if it was Stoke we would have screamed until blue in the faces...It was a penallty, as was Pugh's (I think) hand ball early in second half. That linesman was in line with it and missed it clear as day...he had a frigging nightmare of a game.
Oh well...it ran for us in that department and escaped the consequences...and got three points againt the Dingles...even sweeter!

I think it was quite blatantly a penna, which gives the old addage 'what goes around comes around' alot of credence. I know we think we are hard done to with penna shouts but situations like this even them out by the end of the season.

The ref didn't give it, therefore it wasn't a penalty!

Never thought the last one was but looked at the ref straight away for the handball and couldn't beleive he turned it down. Thank God.

Just seen it on Virgin Media 50/50, but there was 2/3 fouls by them before the incident, blocking and pushing etc.
