Reg Varney was the first person in the world to use an ATM.
Hows that for useless information? And that is my favourite piece of useless information! ;D

Was indeed in 1967 Taking inflation into account-'On the Buses' rumoured to be the biggest ever box office draw in the UK All those hot blooded men hoping to get a peek of Olive in her frilly nightie I guess

John Cleese initially didn't want Monty Python to be shown in America because he thought they wouldn't get it. Then he heard that On the Buses was top of the Hungarian TV ratings and he realised anything was possible! And it didn't do too badly did it?

Know so many Yanks here Joe that adore Monty Python more for it's silliness.
Lot's of silly voices etc way up their street- sure you have watched a fair bit of US Tv and so many of the so called comedies would work here as simply not funny. Having said that- after watching shows in the UK like 'Bo Selecta' and 'The Mighty Boosh' I came to the conclusion that some folk would laugh at trees

Bread? AAAARRRGH! That blonde ponce walks in and says "greetings" for the billionth time and the entire nation spontaneously combusts with laughter. Apart from me who sat there scowling.
