the site you getting these from has labeled up a map wrong
goto stoke (south) from 1890
there is NO fucking way that map is from 1890 nor 1880 possibly not even 1870 , there is no sign of any stadium at all , which we were playing at from about 1876, nor any sign of sweeting's field where we played before that

Heres the link to the site.Really interesting.http://www.thepotteries.org/index.html Dave it most probably was just that at the time a field.I doubt there was a stadium as we think of now . 1927 aerial photo centred on Spode's pottery factory, Stoke The Ivy House Works Josiah Wedgwood's first factory What ever happened to him .We should get him reinstated.

Dave are there any images/photos of this .For a long time now our history has been the focus of a lot of speculation as to when we were truly formed.Im not saying we didnt have a team then just interested if there are any photographic evidence of the sweeting fields ground.

As a small child I thought that the man on Lewises was Jack Frost.
I also want him reinstated.
