4PM UPDATE: PULIS HOMES IN ON LOANS Be the first reader to comment on this story
16:46 - 07 February 2008
City boss Tony Pulis has revealed he is in the market for another Paul Gallagher-type player when the window for so-called emergency loans opens for business tomorrow.Pulis swooped during the final hours of the January transfer window last week to bring in the Blackburn youngster and Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Glenn Whelan.
And he said today: "We need another impact player who can change a game if it's tight or not going for us.
"And maybe we also need one other player in another position because we can struggle if we get injuries."
Pulis is also looking to ship out some of his youngsters, and began the process today when his son, Anthony, left for a three-month loan stay at Bristol Rovers.
Next in line could be striker Adam Rooney, who recently returned from a loan stint at Chesterfield.
"He needs more games," said Pulis after watching the youngster play for Ireland under-21s against England at Southampton earlier this week.
"We're trying to get him out on loan again if we can because he wasn't getting enough action at Chesterfield.
"We've got to get one or two of the younger ones out if we can to get them experience at this stage of their careers."

"Impact player"!?!?!??! I'd like to think any new player had an impact, or else what is the point of bringing them in? ???
Why can't he just say we need another big striker to replace Mama (because he'll never score again, it seems), Porkin (because he is a tub of lard) and Vince (who is simply shockingly bad)?
At least Lil Ant's days on the bench are over (for now!).

Wouldn't surprise me if we were in for Scott Sinclair from Chelsea. He can play right, left and up top and has an abundance of pace, skill and a real eye for goal. Definitely an impact player. Especially with Ollie from Leicester showing interest publicly recently.

The more the merrier , get em in Tone. Sinclair would be good , we could get him to have a word with shevchenko too when Drogba gets back from Africa. The skys the limit

Another lightweight striker who he'll shove on the wing? Don't wheel me but I heard Martin Carruthers has been seen at the ground
