Not meaningless at all. Effectively £750,000 to the winner!

What about 11th spot and a few hundred thousand more in the bank? What about prolonging the mathematical possibility of finishing above the richest club in the world? It's far from a meaningless mid table encounter to me ;D

Our first nothing game since 30th April 2006.
Brighton 1 (0) Loft 84
Stoke 5 (3) Rooney 6 Rooney 22 Sidibe 40 Rooney 63 Sweeney 82
Stoke: Simonsen Buxton Duberry Hill Dickinson Russell Junior Brammer (Garret 70 ) Skoko (Kopteff 83 ) Rooney (Sweeney 77 ) Sidibe
Subs not used de Goey Broomes
Fair to say we've come a long way in 3 years

Should have been six that day- if only Garrett's back heel wasn't cleared off the line. I'll never forget our 'mental' when Doug Loft scored ;D

Was nice watching the Newcastle game on Monday and not really caring! Must have been agony for Hull fans to watch. Wigan will be a little surreal watching and being quite relaxed.

Must admit I stopped worrying when we drew with Newcastle. 36 points was obviously very close to safety and there was no way we wouldn't pick something up from the last five games.

Charlton Athletic supporters used to hate it and wished that Curbishley would go. He did. Then Charlton did.
