With the Newcastle result we are now 8 points clear, so the question comes to the optimistic Stokies, should we start looking up the table?
We are 2 points behind Wigan and man city nad 5 behind spurs and Fulham. We have games against 3(not inc Arsenul) of the clubs above us. I can see Fulham being a draw, West ham and Wigan at home are winnable, so is Hull away. That totals 10 points, anything from the last match would be a bonus. It is no unrealistic to be thinking top half finish.
Go on Stoke.

I'm looking upwards. I expect to stay up - of course - but I HOPE we can finish in the top half of the table. Finishing 10th or higher would have a huge effect in attracting the sort of players TP will be targeting and could tip the scales in our favour. Finishing 10th, would also add over £5 million to our coffers in merit payments compared to what we would get for finishing 17th.

I've started to look up a little bit. I wasn't sure who I wanted to win today, Tottenham and Manchester City or Newcastle and Brazil! In the end though, I still think survival is the target, and until it's mathematically assured, we should be hoping that the teams below us lose.
