Looked as though he was with his Grandad and had a Man Utd top on with the name Ronaldo on it.
Just couldn't see the point in it really.

You don't have to be a Stoke fan to watch a game of football.....especially now we're in the prem! Plus...he's 9...he doesnt care....he hasnt got a care in the world at his age...he just wants to watch football with his grandad People need to chill out

A few of my Stokie mates have Manure tops and Barcalona tops etc. I think it's a waste of money myself if you dont support them but if he's only 9 then it's whoever's bought it for him which are at fault.

There's still time for the young lad tho! When I was 6, I was given an Arse shirt which I wore not knowing any better. Around my 7th birthday my Uncle took to my first stoke match, needless to say the arse shirt never saw the light of day again after! (although I didn't wear it to the game mind! ) Did any one hear the last caller on P & G? He made a great point about this sort of thing.

Tazi
Disrespectful - Maybe, Stupid - Certainly.
Whoever took him in it has clearly no idea about football, passions, rivalries etc.
Turn this around - Imagine going to a Man Ure home game with a Stoke top on ? The poor kid would likely get a load of verbals and rightly so.
Its not a henious crime, just a pretty daft thing to do

Are we debating the actions of a 9 year old boy and a Grandad who clearly loves Stoke City and wishes to convert him over...?
BLOODY GREAT...
Well done Grandad ....and I hope you enjoyed it son....!

How big a stokie is the grandad though? Surely he knows not to take a child in a man ure top. You'd at least pick a coat over it or something.

Fair enough, but surely the first step in converting him is making the kid aware that it's a bit stupid to walk into the home end of a ground wearing anything else but home colours!

Yes I saw him too and after the initial disappointment thought why don't the club offer a half price home shirt amnesty to kids who want to trade in their Utd or Arsenal shirts. The Utd shirts could be sent to Africa or somet and the club'd get good PR out of it.
There was a great call to Radio Stoke after the game from some bloke who said "Give your Utd and Arsenal shirts to your mum for use as a duster and go and get a red and white striped shirt and if you don't wanna do that go and get a Vale shirt and support your local sides". Brilliant comment.
