Just watching SSN and heard Tony say that BT has a responsability to score more goals and that it is very important that he realises that. That is a very weird comment from TP who doesn't normally single players out in the media. Have BT and TP fell out??? Or is he building BT up for the Castle game to take pressure off the other players? It just seems a little odd to me.

TP will know his players well enough to know how to get the best out of each and every one of them. What works for one won't for another but whatever he's said to BT up to now hasn't done any harm!

Saw it over here on FSC earlier today and thought it was a bit strange, but I'm guessing Pulis was asked a direct question about Beattie that was not heard due to editing of the interview.

have a listen to it again, he said all the players have responsibilities especially over the next seven games. i did not think there was anything sinister there. www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11701_5166199,00.html

it wont be cause they have fell out at all i agree with what StatesideStokie said he would of been asked a question about beats and that was just edited out thats all it will be fellas, no point worrying yourselves over it! TP has said so many times how great Beats is to have around and how much he uplifts the team so i doubt they wont be talking you know!

I wouldnt worry, BT was brought here with the pressure to perform. He has do this remarkably well, and as you say trebor63, TP will know his players and obviously piling the pressure on BT is the key. Now, telling Pericard or Kitson he expects plenty of goals before the end of the season............ ;D

nothing out of the ordinary there. another case of Tone telling his players that they can't afford to slack off

heard Tony say that BT has a responsability to score more goals At 36k a week ... I wouldn't think that was unreasonable.

Perfectly reasonable from Tone. Making sure everyone keeps their feet on the ground. We are in a fairly strong position but if we drop our guard for a moment we'll get our arses kicked and get dragged back right into the shit. Every team in this league will cause us problems (apart from Brazil) and we have to dig out anything we get. Mentioning our current flavour of the month shows everyone has to keep grafting.
I'm a bit uncomfortable that some of us might be getting a bit complacent. Perhaps Tone feels the same way?

TPs only saying what we, the fans are saying. He must keep on scoring. If he (or Fuller) don't score, we aren't going to win many games, are we?

That's fine TP saying that aslong as he sets his team up to provide BT and Fuller with balls form our wide men.

It seems as tho' it was in response to the reporter praising TP on his signing of BT, he seems to be on the defensive (probably with just cause imho) a lot of the time when being interviewed.

Don't suppose TP is saying anything that every other managers isn't saying to their strikers. And I suppose all the fans of the teams are saying the same. BT and RF are our main strikers need to do their job. No pressure there that I can see. Just like saying Sorro has to keep a clean sheet if we aren't to lose games.
