Fuller was completely out of order slapping Griff and getting himself sent off...and most people quite rightly condemned him for it...But as Oldstokie says...time to move on and put that behind us...
Griff, apparently said to Ric.."Better lose some weight fat-boy and work 'aarder because Beatties on his way..and he's triffic unlike you"
Slap...

very good post ....
i definitly didnt want us to get rid of fuller personally, neither did my dad or sister or fellow stokie mates, because at that time (without beattie and ethrington), we all knew that rick was are only player who was capable of running at defenders and scaring them with pace and strength and determination and had a skill to beat a player........
yes hes an idot sometimes and can be very lazy but creative people in sport are perculiar and need to be handled differently sometimes as they are the difference in winning and losing ( Pieterson is a classic example)
Beattie has given him that necessary kick up the backside and I for once cant wait to see how far it can develop...credit must go to Pulis in the way he has handled the situation..
well done rick for turning it around!!,now lets have an even better goal than the 1 against villa to beat the Geordies and a few more to the end of the season and we will all be ecstatic

I am still waiting to see some of those muppets who were quick to condemn him, especially for the run in with the law (bythe way as you have read all charges except one has been dropped), come forward and take responsibility for their quickness to judge and derile a player without having substantiated facts. All those who questioned his character. Where is your your character now? Redemption is sweet

Let's be honest about one thing - Andrew "Griffo" Griffin has certainly done something fairly significant to wind our Tone up.
Ultimately, it has resulted in him being out of the team.
All's well that ends well, eh?

think Fuller has shown what all stoke fans thought about him, on his day he is unbelievable pace power basically can scare the shit out of any one. well done ricky this season get 3-4 more goals and then you have proved your self to be 100% premier class. on a side note its interesting that Griffin has been the one who has been the fall guy in the "incident" Fuller said that Griffin disrespected him and well seems like Pulis agreed with him as Griffin cant get even on the bench for the last 2-3 months.. also with the Sidebe injury i and Camara only been on loan i would expect us to sign at least 2 strikers in the summer. Depending on are league etc and Kitson etc etc etc etc

Whatever was said we shall probably never know , but it certainly seems to have given Fuller a kick up the backside I have never seen him work so hard as he has in the past few weeks.

I think maybe Tony saw the replay of Griff telling Ricky to "get on his bike" and pointing the way to the changing rooms as he walked off as not really part of the team ethos?

When he signed Griffin he said he wanted all players to be like Griffin players who would play fopr the club etc etc and i in my oppinion Griffin has probably been better this year than last season but thats another subject The way i see it is that something has gone on Griffin is well way down the pecking order..

Got to hold my hands up I was livid that Ric had acted so badly and didn't particularly want to see him in a Stoke shirt again. But after the meeting with the powers that be it does seem to point the finger of guilt at Griff.
What went on we'll never ever know for sure but its probably the biggest blip on our season and the only time I felt we may well go down. Shame cos I liked Griff and he was doing ok at the time. But at least TP had the good sense to ignore me and carry on with ric!

Fuller might have realised his behaviour had been costly and had to make it up to us. It wasn't just the hitting Grifin. For a few months he'd been on a knife edge, his petulance was embarassing at times. Pleasing that he's making up for it now.

gets sent off after slapping his club captain on pitch indierctly helping to lose the game. pulis could have catered to those (me included) who said that was unforgivable get rid of him pulis pulls off a masterstroke buy a striker as good as fuller beattie starts scoring and is an instant hit with the fans fuller knows he could be replaceable pulls his socks up and has been outstanding since his return dont get me wrong fuller can be lazy, somtimes sulks when things dont go his way but now he has somthing to prove. for the first time since he has been at the club he has a STRIKER playing alongside him as good as him, scoring goals. fuller and beattie obviously have a friendly rivalry and this is good for the team ricardo fuller never been better I dont think Tone is going to listen to knee jerk comment about one incident from a minority. The comment about Fullr after West Ham from some posters was ridiculous. Shit happens in every walk of life you just hae to deal with it and move on which Pulis did. Why some supporters wanted Fuller tarring and feathering outside Stoke Town Hall I will never understand
