"By way of a PS, you may remember that in last week’s column, I referred to Micky Quinn’s jibe about Stoke being no more than a pub team and how I nearly rang into the radio station to take him on. As luck would have it, at Newcastle on Saturday I bumped into the big fella (well, you can hardly miss him these days) and told him what I thought of his comments. I asked him whether he’d rather have a team trying to play neat football and losing most weeks, or one that gives it a right good go and gets its fair share of victories? I didn’t have the West Brom v Stoke fixture in mind when I asked him that – honest." Always sticks up for The Potters ;D On behalf of myself, I love you as well Lou Anyone else wishing to leave some Lou Love Feel free ;D

Let all the mockers hang their heads in shame. I sincerely hope they are all made to eat humble pie and offer grovelling apologies come the end of the season. Experts my ar*e. They don't deserve to make a living from the game and should keep their useless opinions to themselves. My grateful thanks to the few that have backed us.

& Lou backed us from the start.
he also predicted WBA had the least chance of safety of the promoted sides from the off too.
he did fancy Fulham to go down mind.

Fine man, Mr Macari. Just the sort of man manager you need. Got the best out of the players which were the only ones he could afford. Sadly, Lou raised our level of expectation, but good to know he still favours The Potters!
