Having a play with them now, and found a few telling things:
Neither Abdoulaye nor Shawcross misplaced a pass all match.
We made 23 interceptions in the match, compared to their six.
We made nine blocks in the match to their three.
As a team we made 30 tackles, but only two were made by the two centre backs together (one each), which shows how well the midfield protected the defence.

They just make it all up don't they? - how on earth is this level of detail recorded?

They just make it all up don't they? - how on earth is this level of detail recorded? It would make sense if they had a team of people watching sections of the game. And just tally it up and add them all together. Would only take like 20 minutes.

I thought it all came from the computer system fitted into the roof of the stands, I read something about it earlier in the season. You can see the sensors at the Brit - 3 together at the Boothen end of the West Stand and one at the away end, then the reverse on the opposite side. They get mountains of data for every player.

I mentioned it earlier but I remember Abdoulaye playing an overhit ball to Etherington in the first half which went out of play. For me, that is misplaced?!!

i saw an article recently which said that most premiership use these "opta" companies which gather every piece of analysis of the game from tackles to passes etc...... they had 3 people on the job (1 for each team and the other to oversee that the data is correct)
