Although I think that a win on Saturday will mean that we will be playing Premiership football next season, would I be right in suggesting that as things stand at the moment, the earliest possible game that we could be mathematically safe, is away at Fulham?
IE: Boro and Newcastle losing the next two and us winning the next two would mean we would go to Craven Cottage knowing that a win for us and a loss for the two north east sides would mean that the maths would say ... PARTY TIME?!

I think all three teams to get relegated this season will finish on fewer than 40 points so the Newcastle game should just about do it if we win. I think Newcastle and Sunderland will squeak out, everybody else will be relatively comfortable with a couple of games to go and Hull, Middlesbrough and Brazil to go down.

I never was much good at maths, Paul. My old and addled brain tells me that given the run-in we have and the run-in both N'castle and 'Boro have, if we go down now, we will have turned Einstein's Theory of Relativity on it's head. But if there is one wild card in that theory, it is Stoke. ;D M.
