?
Was watching MOTD last night and suddenly found myself thinking 'Christ I hope we don't sign him if we stay up' and I ound myself saying it 3 or 4 times.
Main ones were, Ben-Haim, Bardsley, Whitehead, Leadbitter (Sunderland), Coloccini (Toon), Huth/Wheater (boro).
Just the though of us sniffing around these makes my blood run cold. And why have I started thinking like this? Becaue after yesterdays win, for the first time, I am brimming with confidence that we can finally stay up!!!!!

In Pulis i trust.
He's proved with his signings this season that he gets it right more often than not.

Lets hope he has raised his sights way above the likes of Harewood, we are much, much better than that.

To be honest TP's best signings have usually been players I hadn't given much thought to us signing. None of the following were even on my radar. Some of them I hardly knew about and others I just didn't predict we'd go for (even though I rated some of them, I just didn't think we'd get them):
Sidibe, Ab Faye, Shawcross, Sorensen, Fuller, Etherington, Delap and Beattie
So, I'm happy to leave it to TP - all the players I would name would either be too pricey (everyone wants them) or not fit into whatever style TP wants to play next year.
I expect I'll forget all this and soon start clamouring for my favourites soon, though! ;D

Let's deal exclusively with players with GOOD Prem experience like Sorensen,Beattie,Ethersand Abdy and forget about people with exotic names from far flung places like Dramani,Zigic??,M'Bami and Gowowri. Mistakes will inevitably be made Kitson,Oli,Tonge spring to mind-not everyone will fit in .BUT as we appear to be on the verge of earning another season with the big boys the way forward looks increasingly more exciting

I think some people on here need to get a reality check. Survival in the Prem does mean we will be signing the likes of Torres next season. The manager and the club will have to work as hard again to identify and attract good players. He MUST look to the European leagues.

Not so sure about reality check Pugsley more like a spell check Presumably you meant to suggest that we wouldn't be signing the likes of Torres? on the otherhand................

Interesting one.
Presumably it will be a little easier when we survive as we will have proved that we can stay up and therefore be a more attractive proposition.
Then I wonder how much money we will have to spend if any. tone will certainly have to unload some of the fringe players.
For me we definitely need bolstering with a good midfielder
What about Brammer?
