If/when we stay up - he will always be remembered for his massive contribution to Stoke's survival. God bless him!

yep, we stay up this year with a few more goals from him and I think he will be to many...to some he is already...fantastic signing...

By the way - I don't think many Stokies should be underestimating Matty Etherington's effect on the team's performances either. TP said he was outstanding today (first full game for a while), and he's one of those players who does loads of stuff that isn't always appreciated. (The Beattie/Etherington signings in January were absolutely inspired and the manager should be duly rewarded for that - if/when we stay up!)

Beattie is now being mentioned for england on SSN in the post match interview, although said in jest, i can see his name being linked with a call up more and more
