As it floated in I could have sworn it was going to go over, all the way until it hit the back of the net. Beautiful. I can remember my entire thought process for that goal.

That game was a microcosm of our season. As three of our most important players that season came on, we got a bit better. Shawcross came on and we improved a bit. Sidibe came on and we improved a bit. Lawrence came on and we won the game.
That was never a bloody penalty to Coventry either.
Uriah Rennie was surprisingly fat.
Coventry players made the mistake of celebrating in front of a certain section of Stoke fans.
Goooarrrn Cresswell, bloody finish it, just bloody finish it...bloody hell fire, this goalkeeper comes out just like his bloody Dad no wait it's bounced over to Liam oh hell he's skied it it's going over it's going it's going it's YEAGIUHGUEWAHYIGTEIAUYGTRIOUYEAGTIAOEUYGTEOYGbIAOUYHRP(AYW*EGAYWGEOAYWEGFIUYAG"&(TR^A"GTR*"

I couldn't watch the last few minutes. superb game though, it's got to be in my all time top 10 away games. despair to ecstasy in 45 minutes ;D
Edit: just thought, this was a massive game in Stoke Citys history and we couldn't sell our allocation out! how times have changed.

Cov away was the real turning point for me... when the final whistle went I just *knew* we were going up... it was the real turning point
if we win against the brazillians... i think it will have the same effect

Looking back, this was the day we won promotion.
At half time, I was so depressed. At the end we were top of the League and promotion was firmly in our own hands.
Stopped for a meal on the way back and was still full of emotion.

It was a great day The balti pies lived up to their reputation and Lawrences goal is the most memorable away goal ever Funny looking back - walking away from the ground the coventry fans all saying we would be even worse than derby with that team. The thick bastards couldn't grasp that that team would be strengthened further!

Come on give us a link we were in Madrid that weekend on a stag do and were gutted after just landed when they got the pen, happy days when we scored the late winner and even taking in a game in the Bernabau was not as good as the result.

I can only find Fullers pen. picture quality is poor but the commentary is quite funny. Parental discretion is advised though
