The Mighty Potters currently sit 16th in the table, with only 8 games to go. Considering our run in and the fact that we have 4 home games left, i can't help but to start getting excited about the prospect of still playing premiership footy next season...
We still have to play Newcastle, Blackburn, Wigan and West Ham at home...This season, we have lost just 3 games at home (Everton 2-3, Chelsea 0-2 and Man Ure 0-1), thanks to our superb home form, city are 6th in the home league table... From our last four home games i would say that we can beat Blackburn and Wigan, possibly West Ham and draw against Castle...meaning we would get about 8 points, leavin us on 40 points (enough to stay up??)
Thats just the home games...Our away games which are Brazil, Dull, Fulham and Arsenal look fairly promising... Brazil is a must win 6 pointer and i think we will win... With Hull having the worst home record in the league i think we can get a point and possibly push for a victory...However, our away form is sadly crap and the games against Fulham and Arsenal, i really can't see us getting a result out of...so that gives us another 4 or 6 points...leaving us on about 44-46...
I think i am being quite realistic, but maybe optimistic at times...
So lets get behind the lads, the final push for the season...we are on the home straight now...we can see Premiership football next season...one last hard slog...
GOOOOOOAAARRRRRNNNN!!!

I know it's not an original view BUT to give ourselves the posible chance we really need to win an away game.

I know it's not an original view BUT to give ourselves the posible chance we really need to win an away game. I disagree, i think an away win would be massively beneficial, but with in my opinion 9 more points required ( putting us on 41 pts ) and these home games still to play, Newcastle Blackburn West Ham Wigan I have every belief we can take 9 points at least from those games, i don't think thats being overly optimistic, our home form has proven itself.

I'd be amazed if we won every home game.
Winning at West Brom could be massive, especially with Newcastle playing Chelsea on the same day. This could effectively mean that a draw against Newcastle could keep a 6 point gap.
One game at a time but I can't help feeling that the next 2 will be the decisive ones where we could build a pretty big gap with games running out.
I'd probably wee myself a bit if we get 4-6 points out of the next 2 games.

I just keep thinking '3 wins out of 8, and we should be home and dry'. I don't really care how we get those wins or who they are against, but would most obviously be beneficial if we accrued them whilst playing our relegation rivals - so I'll go for West Brom, Blackburn and Newcastle.

9 points from 8 games is do-able and should keep us up. So we dont have to win 3 games to do it. 2 would suffice and 3 draws.

if we can beat brazil, n`castle should lose to chelski & blackburn have a tough game with spurs- then our position will be fantastic, the west brom game could as good as save us as far as the gap between us & the bottom three goes.

I think Blackburn and Wigan at home, especially, will be a lot trickier than some people seem to think.

I think Blackburn and Wigan at home, especially, will be a lot trickier than some people seem to think. I agree but the Newcastle game is, I feel, the real 'Cup Final' from our remaining fixtures. IF we can get win at West Brom and IF Newcastle don't beat Chelsea then that game against The Geordies is absolutely massive - a game we wouldn't even have to win if truth be told!

give it another month & we will start to see strange results (across the country) so who knows what will happen.
however needing 6-8 points from our remaiing fixtures is surely not a problem?

Its gonna be close and our boys need to play well, our home games are very winnable and I'd like to say they are "nailed on" wins, but Blackburn are fighting for their lives and Wigan could still nab a Europa League spot so theres plenty to play for. Its in the lads hands.
PLEASE STOKE!!! JUST DO EET!!

I think Blackburn and Wigan at home, especially, will be a lot trickier than some people seem to think. You said that about Bolton, mate. Boro, on the other hand, you said would be relatively easy. All games are tough for us, but I don't think we should particularly worry about Blackburn or Wigan. As it stands at the moment, Newcastle looks like the really big game -and I expect them to give us a torrid time. If they don't and they aren't "up" for what could well be a "must-win" fixture for them, and they lose, we're laughing because they are as good as gone.

I think anyone estimating more than 2 points from our remaining away games is being very optimistic.

One good thing about it, all the teams we have at home are also under some pressure, if for different reasons, with the exception of the Hammers, so nerves will play a big part in all of the games, for both sides.

Saturday 11th April (or the Sunday) will go a long way towards deciding relegation. The following are mind-boggling!
Stoke City v Newcastle Utd Boro v Hull City Pompey v WBA Liverpool v Blackburn Rovers Sunderland v Man Utd Chelsea v Bolton Wanderers.
Three to play the top three and the other six to play each other. You couldn't make it up!

im only a tad worried about one remaining game and that is Blackburn, they are a very good side still and play well home and away, but then again they are coming to the bear pit so goarrn stoke and p.s i am confident about WBA!!!
