The deadline day is upon us and it seems all quiet at the Brit. I see some people been saying that Tone will neglect the transfer window now and look at loan signings. Now this is all well and good, but the prob with loanees is that they usually get called back, at critical times of the season. Just like Beast last season when he seemed to be scoring goals for us. Dont know what the situation is, but I'd rather Tone at least bought in someone maybe two perm deals if we can afford it?. Then look at a poss loan signing to help out and not rely heavily on loanees like we did last season.
Surely permanent deals is the way to go? Im prob wrong saying this, but I would of thought if we could bring in a player perm and not loan then the team morale would stay the same, instead of all over the place when these guys get called back

we proably can afford one more half decent player, but typical stoke will proably stick to the loan signings at this point of the window. If we did make the play offs i dont think that we would still have the loanies available by then.Surely this is the time of the season where tp and pc both think to themselves lets have a big push and sraft two more signings in and go for promotion.

Exactly my point ponta, if they have any real ambitions then in all seriousness, the loan market is not the answer surely?

with the squad that we have got at the minute and how we have been performing surely they must both see where and what positions we are lacking in,so surely get these players in and think of the big bucks next season when were in top flight.

Yeah, good point. Tone keeps saying he needs to strengthen and that would only be a temporary measure should he rely yet again on the loan market. If we wanna be beating the best in the Prem then these "apparent new players" need to be owned purely by us to continue a good team spirit. Otherwise quite frankly we could find ourselves well and truly ferked!, if our loan players leave as predicted they would
