I sit at the back of Block 28 and I think i know the answer to the atmosphere.
It was started today by the Seddon stand blocks 29-30 at he front.
When they stand up and roar the rest follow.
GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAARRRNNNNNNNN

Was great again today and the commentary loved it.
We really are making a name for ourselves with the atmosphere. In 3/4 of a season we are the greatest Prem fans. Came across fantastic on TV 6000 miles away :-) Fantastic stuff.
Could actually see it lift the team

The roar just seems to start from everywhere its almost gutteral and definately frightening. It's awe inspiring and takes the wind from within you, until you realise you are doing it too, it filters from the very inmost of your bowels and erupts like a volcano from the depths of your throat and it bellows STOKE, the city maybe downtrodden and devoid of what it was once famous for but we still have our pride and we refuse to be silent,we will rise from the ashes and show that we have the spirit to progress yet again.

There were people everywhere - even in the Family standing up and screaming as individuals - never seen so many before, then it kinda all started to come together everywhere
One guy in the Family screamed goaaaaaaaarn Stoke and Liam turned around wide eyed and saluted before he took the corner - top stuff
the 'Roar' statement by the way is bloddy top and someone should send it to the club - get it on the big screen

This random "roar" thing we have going is truly amazing, it must give the players such a lift, and coincidently scare the shit out of the opposition players. You can just imagine them thinking to themselves, "wtf?!"
Top stuff, truly brilliant.
