Well done TP for getting the sub spot-on. It was crying out for Ethers width and Rory's energy, replacing the totally awful Diao. 2nd half, Rory does what he does best - press the ball high up the pitch and make things happen by hounding players. Witness Diao simply standing on Faye and Shawcros' toes for the first 50 mins. We simply played the second half at our tempo and that was in no small part to Delap's workrate and desire. Now TP, have the faith and good sense to keep Rory's lung-busting efforts in the middle for the remainder of this season. Play Ethers away and at home, and I'm convinced we'll stay up. Delap was simply outstanding last season doing the spoiling role in central midfield. Second half today we saw just what we've missed. Well done Rory lad, and well done TP for the substitution (50 mins too late mind ) Oh, and to all the 'Fuller is lazy brigade'. Your comments on his work ethic today please. Simply awesome workrate, and despite a below par performance in some ways, he kept their excellent defence on its toes all afternoon and was kicked all over the shop. Well done Ric.

Yeah, Delap was the driving force in the midfield today
Fullers work ethic was brilliant, a passionate performance from the lads and not to mention the amazing fans...

I thought Fuller worked his balls off today, the fact that he didn't get much joy out of their centre halfs doesn't mean he did nowt!

Ricci was tremendous today, not particularly because he created much, but because he just kept on going when nothing was really working out for him. In the past games like today have led to the sulk or a red card. Maybe the example JB is setting in terms of work rate regardless of circumstance is having a positive effect.

spot on bunny, fuller took a fair mauling from huth and co today but just kept going, and rory was immense when he went centre midfield.

Spot on Bunny. We had been calling for that substitution after about 15 minutes of the game.

With the work rate scenario, Beattie complements Fuller. One or the other is always chasing back.
I love Mama, always have, always will but from a pure work rate point the chemistry between Ric and Beattie is brilliant

Delap ran himself into the ground today. He was absolutely knackered at the whistle. Fuller was on fire, but still lets himself down by going down and then griping at the ref.

Jamo,
on fire mate. Paula Radcliffe would have had several craps by the side of the road if she'd ever had blisters like I have now. Ouch.

Fuller was awesome and led the line with little support from Beatts today and no bloody protection from the ref - the two centre halves gave him a right going over all of the first half
Still our star player who scares the hell out of the away team and they targetted him big style

Fuller is the only man we had up top today. He therefore has to do all the running every time we mount an attack. Thought he held it up well for us today and we really miss him when he doesn't play. The only problem I have is that he goes down far too easily, when he could use one of his main assests - his strength t stay on his feet.

Fuller isn't always the hardworking up-and-at-'em striker, but he's worth having in the side for that Fuller Magic that can win a game.

To be honest Bunny I was calling for Matty to replace Liam and Faye for Diao.
Fair play to TP he went for it and won the game. Matty was and always has been a great outlet and gave us a stronger foot-hold.
Fuller battled with Huth but think had one eye on the ref all day. The Pogatetz handball was 100 percent deliberate IMHO. Great skill by Ricci.
Thought Danny H was our best player

A nothing ball that he has to run 40 yards to get on to, takes a challenge for the team and wins the throw we score off. Lazy? Load of bollocks.

Delap is our best central midfielder by a long way and having him in the middle will not only get the best out of him, but allow us to have two wingers each on their natural side. We looked much more balanced with a left footer and a right footer.

Fuller's best game since Arsenal. Even when he doesn't score, his work rate today is what he brings to the team and I am so glad to see him back at his best. Can't for the Baggies away and see him go for another hat-trick against them.
