I need to spend less time on the General Discussion Board, I was expecting some sort of paedo joke ;D Thats great news though. Especially considering the amount of money that some teams put into their acadamy's.

Yeah and the fact that our team is predominantly 1st years means that next season we should be even better. Our U16's have been really impressive this season aswell and there additions to the squad for next season should also see us even better. Seriously big hopes for next seasons U18's.
I think we may have added our U16's to the squad today as their season finished last week.

Andy Nicholls with an absolute screamer of a half volley from the edge of the box and a Warwick Alexander header. Forest scored from a penalty.

What team did we put out Mark. Did the U16's come into the squad?

The u 16s had there own fixture with Forest. Only a lad called Nick who is ontrial with the 16s featured with the 18s today. He is in from Man United and looks the part. I expect they wil be offering him something soon.
The side was pretty much the same as Everton without any of the second years involved other than Nathanial,

Oh right I thought they had finished their season last week because they only play the games against teams in our group, not the inter group games.

It is normal for them to play like for like but it can vary a bit, I think you will find 16s involved against Sunderland next weekend. In fact I can guarentee it.

So are the remaining U16 games, bar Liverpool, non-competitive then.

|
|
Post by MarkWolstanton on Mar 22, 2009 1:35:29 GMT
They are all supposed to be uncompetitive in so much as there is no league competitionas in the 18s,
I expect there will be a full matching programme for the rest of the season. There is only one 15s fixture left as with all clubs they merge with the remaining 16s at this time of the year.

He can play fullback or anywhere across midfield. Very comfortable on the ball. Looks a good footballer to me.

Sounds good. The more the merrier and if I'm correct we could do with a RB next season

We will have at least three lads who can play right back next season and even more for the left back slot given I expect Rodney and Matty to be the first choice centre backs.

OK then. Thinking of the people I know of Stockhall and Cohen can play RB, although it remains to be see whether either of them would be better elsewhere, and Connor, Wint and Harrison can play LB.

Wint can do centre back or more probably next term left back. Harrison can do left back and left midfield but has been earmarked as deep lying central midfield. Zak Foster can do anywhere on the left.
You have Alex Hedley and Craig Sinclaire both of whom can do centre back or right back.

Cool. Sounds like Louis had a good game for the reserves tonight. It seems TP rates him very highly as he had him training with the full squad when he was 15 and he is involved in most reserve fixtures.

I'm pleased to see that. He is as said before very accomplished on the ball. I expect him to be a real contender for the right back starting slot next season. That is assuming he signs as other clubs have shown an interest. Talking to his parents I understand we are his favoured option.

Played against alex a number of times in past 5 years and he is definately one to look out for. Good centre back and very comfatable on the ball
